Hey guys! This is my first story, not just for the AF fandom, but also for Fanfiction in general, so please be nice. This is my entry for the AEC Contest and I hope you like it. Un-beta'd, so there might be some mistakes in there, since I'm not English. R&R, please! Compliments are appreciated, criticism is too, but flames, well, not so much. I'm not gonna answer them all personally, since that would be a waste of my time, I'll just say it here: Don't like it? Then why are you still reading?

'Stay back, my friends,' he thought. 'I am coming.' And he jumped for his life.
Artemis was glad Butler was there to witness his effort, as it was almost athletic. From this height, Artemis felt as though he was flying.
There was Holly racing down the slope, outrunning Butler for once.
Artemis could see by the shape of her mouth that she was shouting his name. His hands reached the skin of the magic bubble and passed through and Artemis felt tremendous relief. 'It worked. Everything will be different now. A new world with humans and fairies living together. I could be an ambassador.'
And then he was through and he was falling. 'Ouch', he thought when he hit the ground.
That was the moment Holly reached him. "Artemis!" she shouted. "Are you allright?"
He thought about that for a moment. Was he? "Yes, my body's hurting everywhere, since I just hit the ground pretty hard, but other than that, I'm fine." Meanwhile Butler had reached them, and he was checking Artemis' body for injuries. "How are you feeling,Artemis? Are you dizzy? How many is 1345,67 times 769?".
Artemis smiled "I'm feeling fine, Butler, except that yes, I am feeling a little dizzy, but I'm sure that will pass soon. 1345,67 times 769 is 1034820,23. Anything else?" Holly was the one to speak. "I'm so glad you're okay, Artemis", she said, smiling. Artemis smiled back "Believe me, Holly, so am I."
