PrologueIt's pretty horrible when you see your best friend die right in front of you. Especially when you've had the biggest crush on them ever since you were little.
It all started when Kai moved here from Japan when Katie was in kindergarden. The teacher, Miss Kimberly, asked everyone to stop what they were doing and to listen. "Everyone, we will be having a new student joining us. This is Kai Shizuki," She said as a little boy entered the room. "Please make him feel welcome." Kai took a seat at one of the tables, which happened to be the table Katie was sitting at. Katie stuck out her hand and smiled. "Hi! I'm Katie!" She said waiting for him to grab her hand in a handshake. Kai smirked as he said, "Hey, I'm Kai." And he stuck his hand out as well. But to fin that they both took their hands away and yelled, "PSYCH!" There was a long pause between them, then they both started to laugh. "HAH! You're gonna be my new best friend!" Katie announced proudly.
