Masaru often made his mother proud.
As his chest rose up and down ever so calmly, Sayuri couldn't help but chuckle as she saw her son sleeping at his desk. A small sense of pride rose in her chest when she approached, noting the notebook and book opened, meaning he was actually attempting to study.
Which, her son being the hot-headed and impatient boy he is, it was a rare occasion. But sometimes he really knew that he had to put the effort forth to at least try.
Though Masaru wasn't a genius, like Touma, she was not any less proud of her son. He gave it his all, and she thought that was what was truly commendable about him.
He gave it all to protect those who he loved, even if that meant going into dangerous areas. He would prove, over and over, that not only was he going to beat the living crap out of anyone who tried to harm his friends and family…
But that he also loved them, and held them close to his heart.
Masaru loved big, and even if he screwed up and made mistakes and wasn'tthe best, well, he did his best.
And that's why he made his mother proud.
Some of us really don't have the best relationships with our mom's, but hey. As Mother's Day is approaching, I thought why not and decided to write something involving one of my favorite characters and his mother. :)
Noting the fact that my other favorite character's mom died on him... well I think I should give the angst a break...
