A/N: This is Satori speaking, and on behalf of the joint efforts of Sweetserendipity55, welcome to the prologue of our latest collaboration. Normally, I will be doing the even numbered chapters, and since technically this isn't chapter 1, Akahime's chapter is next. Enjoy~

(Dave's POV)

The day pressed on with annoying intensity, and I knew it would be a heat from hell by one o'clock. It was seven weeks in, and I had two "mysterious" scratches on my passenger side window and a freshly copied stack of paperwork to do. That was this entire job was at the beginning of the year, paperwork.

When you're stuffed in a cramped office, in a desk way too small to fit your legs proper, and with, I kid you not, the secretaries on watch duty, it becomes a challenge for even me to pull off something remotely fun.

The stupid principal stuffed me in the fucking tiniest, windowless office he could muster, and gave me the strictest, bitchiest secretary he had on hand. For such a lame dude, it made me wonder why he and my Bro were friends. At times it even made me question his taste in sick-chilling bros.

Not that I ever let on.

I was bored out of my skull, wondering how Bro roped an over-qualified professor like my bad self get roped into a job at a dinky high school as a, and I shiver at this, assistant principal. Not the assistant principal, an assistant principal. I could've been teaching music theory, but instead the only music I ever hear at work is when the secretary nearest to my office gets one of her frequent sinus infections and I am able to drum on my desk. Or when I hide in Makara's guitar class after lunch.

I would be teaching music theory that is, if I hadn't been rejected by my long distance girlfriend of three goddamn years. After that, I was a totally uncool wreck, lost my shitty apartment, and ruined my chances at teaching music theory when I went to my interview at the university hung over. Now I was in a tiny office, fiancé-less, and out to do something reckless and stupid.

I didn't know how reckless it'd be until I stood in the atrium beside the other two assistantprincipals when the freshman came in.
