Author's Notes: This is my ridiculously lazy new writing project. Yes, updates will be short—short means faster.
Disclaimer: I, the writer of this fanfic, do not own Avalon High (which includes all characters/plots from Meg Cabot's book and the retarded movie).
/Darkness yet Undefeated
The sky was turbulent and treacherous—much like the sea in a storm. The difference was, instead of waves violently beating against the side of a ship, rain was falling, hard and fast. There was nothing unusual about a storm on the West Coast; however, it was rather odd that the majority of the downpour was concentrated on the Wagner residence. Well, it was the Harrison-Wagner residence, technically. It had been the gossip of the community—a young, unmarried couple was moving into the well-off part of town. They were both college students, the boy (a man really…there was something distinctly regal about him) was a year or two older than the girl. The girl couldn't be described as breath taking—she was lovely, but in a more elegant way than fashion seems to flow towards. The oddly regal man was handsome, quite the eye-catcher around the neighborhood. Suddenly, thunder arched across the sky, leaving in its wake a vivid rouge…an unnatural color.
Take me to the marble tomb where King Arthur's body does but sleep,
Take me to the disgraced grave where the brazen queen does but weep,
Take me to the distant castle where Sir Lancelot does but grieve,
Take me to these places and more, for I am the Lady of the Lake.
