Okay yeah this is my first so idk how this works so here goes NOTHIN!

Percy POV:

I weaved the water droplet in and out of my fingers. "Percy!" I heard my mother said, breaking my concentration. The water spilled on the restaurant table. "Hmm?" I mumbled looking up sleepily. I noticed the waiter standing over me with a surprised look across his face. I don't know what he saw through the mist, but it probably still wasn't very normal. "Uh, can I have a salad please?" The waiter nodded still confused.

"So…" Paul said, looking from my mother, to Annabeth, to me. "Kids, what do you have planned for the summer?" I looked at Annabeth. She looked seriously beautiful. Her hair reflected the lights making it glow blonde even brighter than it naturally did. Her face glowed too and the silver dress she was wearing made her grey eyes sharper than ever. She wasn't wearing makeup, but she didn't need it. Her hand squeezed mine tightly under the table.

"Waiting I guess..." she said, her with a little chuckle. We looked at me. I must have faded out again because she kicked me under the table.

"Hm? Oh yeah,waite..." Annabeth and my mother both gave me worried looks. "Uh, Percy, why don't you and Annabeth go out on the balcony? It is less crowded out there and you guys can talk." My mother and Annabeth exchanged glances. I stood and helped Annabeth stand. I liked this whole, more than friends thing that started last summer. We walked out of the restaurant and past a couple on the balcony. When they saw us they walked off in a huff. The woman winked at me, but the man just glared. He had a flame in his eye.

"Was that A-" I started but of course Annabeth already knew what I was about to say.

"Yeaa… Why would Ares and Aphrodite be here? Oh well never mind them, looks like they mean no harm. " I shrugged. If Annabeth wasn't worried, I shouldn't be.

"So, whatdya wanna talk abou—," suddenly she had me in a kiss. "Wha.. uh… yea?" was my oh so very intelligent response. She laughed.

Suddenly we were hit by a wave of cold salty water. I was touching Annabeth so we didn't get wet but we still felt the cold. When we looked at where the wave had come from, I saw a familiar man in fishing attire. " Dad?" I said, shocked .
