Itachi was waiting for the appointed hour to arrive... the battle between sasuke and himself. As he waited on that battle he had a memory... Of her.
*flashback*
Itachi wandered the streets of konoha, thinking about what he had to do... He had to destroy his entire family, his mother, father, only his little brother would survive, but it still hurt that he had to slaughter everyone else. As he was walking his thoughts were interrupted by the Mizukage, Mei. "Itachi..."
"Mei... What do you want." Itachi just stared at her with his hard, emotionless stare.
"I'm sorry that this has happened to you... Being forced to slaughter your own people." Itachi was irritated now, she had voted for this, his voiced now had murder in it.
"What would you care? You agreed to this!"
"I'm sorry... I didn't want a war...'' she was beggining to tear up a little now, and Itachi felt bad now. She did it for the same reason he had agreed to it... Peace.
"I'm sorry for snapping..." she grabbed onto him before he could finish.
*end flashback*
Itachi was deep in thought when she interrupted. "Heard you were gonna fight your brother. Will I ever see you again?"
"No."
"Then I won't regret this." she pulled him right off his seat and kissed him with all the passion and love she could muster.
"Mei... Thank you..." Then she left, and there he was... Sasuke Uchiha. "So you came."
