I pressed myself up against Jacob's over-heated body, trying to keep my blood pulsing through my body. As I lay there, I closed my eyes and listened to Edward and Jacob's conversation. They were trying to be civilised, but I could tell it was proving to be very difficult for the both of them.
I let out a sigh and pushed myself further into the sleeping bag, shivering as the cold air filtered through the thin cloth of the tent.
"Is she asleep?" Edward asked from across the other side of the tent. I felt so sorry for him, all he wanted was to keep me warm but he could do no such thing.
"Yes, I think she is." Jacob whispered beside me. I slowed down my breathing, pretending to be deep in sleep. I wanted to find out what Edward and Jacob would say to each other, but more importantly, I wanted to make sure they didn't kill each other as I slept.
"Oh, well, that's good." Edward murmured.
"Edward?" Jacob asked.
"Yes, Jacob?" Edward's soft velvety voice took on a serious tone.
"I'm sorry I've been so, well, aggressive towards you lately, it's just that… well," his voice broke off.
Edward spoke up, "Sexual tension?"
"You mean, you've been feeling the same way?" Jacob asked.
"Ever since I first saw you, dog. It's unexplainable. I know it's not right, but I can't change the way I feel," Edward let out a low chuckle.
"Tell you what... truth is, sometimes I miss you so bad I can hardly stand it. Some nights I'm down at La Push all alone, sitting on the beach and watching the stars, and I begin to wonder, is he thinking of me too?" Jacob sighed.
"You better believe I do, dog. I've never mentioned it to Bella before, ever; I couldn't break it to her. I feel foolish for admitting it, but I was so jealous when you kissed Bella, I wish I could have you for my own," Edward spoke slowly.
"So what do we do now?" Jacob laughed foolishly.
"Well, this is a one-shot thing we got going on here."
"It's nobody's business but ours," Jacob added.
"You know I ain't queer,"
"Me neither," Jacob whispered. I could feel movement on either side of me. The warmth left my side; all I could hear was the quickening of breathing as Jacob moved closer to Edward. I rolled slightly on my side and cautiously opened one eye. Jacob sat beside Edward, hand in hand.
"We can get together every once in awhile, way out in the middle of nowhere," Edward mumbled.
"Once in awhile?" Jacob gritted his teeth.
"If you can't fix it, dog, you gotta stand it,"
"For how long?"
"For as long as we can ride it. There ain't no reins on this one," Edward sighed.
"What about now? You, me, this tent…" Jacob smiled suggestively.
"Well, ever tried a vampire-Popsicle, dog?" Edward winked.
"Wow, it's so sexy when you call me 'dog'," Jacob grinned, pushing closer to Edward.
"I try my best," Edward swiftly tore off his shirt.
"Edward, be my chew-toy,"
"You're one hot dog," Edward breathed.
I couldn't take it any longer. I was so infuriated, "Edward, Jacob, how could you?" I shrieked.
"ARGH DON'T LOOK AT MY POPSICLE!" Edward screamed. Jacob let out a scream of terror. He fell to the ground and began to shake uncontrollably.
"Woah, orgasmic." Edward smiled as Jacob ran off, tail between his legs.
