A boy with cat ears and tail ran. It was pouring as he turned a corner. Three older teenagers followed him. He made a huge gap between them, until he ran into a man on the street.
"S-sorry, I didn't mean to run into you!" The boy said.
The man noticed him wearing a collar, so he reached for it and held it, then read the tag. "Katsu… it's nice to meet you, Katsu." The man said.
"N-nice to meet you to but, I'm kind of in a hurry, sorry!" Katsu ran off, unaware the man put a small video camera on him collar. The three boys grabbed the man.
The biggest one, who resembles a leader shouted, "Did you see a cat boy!"
"No I didn't, sorry." The man said as he walked off and the boys ran. The man watched as they ran after him and, in his headpiece, said, "Sir, I got him. I'll come back to base and we'll watch the footage." The man left.
Katsu turned an alley and skidded under a box, lying on the flaps so it would be hard for them to pick the box up. He went under that one because it has a hole for air and to see out of. Big enough to fit his paw through, but it's like a slit so you can't really notice it unless you look for it. Katsu lowered his ears as the boys turned and stopped. He could see the teenager's legs through the hole.
"Ok, scout the area. I know he's here somewhere!" All three of them started knocking over boxes and trashcans, anything that could fit Katsu.
The boy got nervous, knowing they wouldn't leave until he was found. Trying to still his heart in fear they would hear, the worst thing ever happened. A mouse squeezed in through the hole. Unable to resist, his cat instincts made him get in hunting mode and leap on it, lunging the box forward. He heard the boys acknowledge it and start going to it. Katsu swiped the mouse out.
When the teenager looked in the hole, Katsu bowed his head and closes his eyes so all he could see was his dark black hair and clothes and not his glowing green eyes. Sadly, he stuck his finger in and slid it up and down which immediately made Katsu look at it in curious delight. He once again went into hunt mode and pounced, flipping to his back and forcing the box forward. He grabbed the teenager's finger with retractable claws and bit it. Katsu heard the teen make a disgusted noise as he jerked it away.
"Well, well Katsu, looks like I found you!" The teen frowned as he heard Katsu hiss a little. "Oh come now, maybe next time you won't try to run away!" The teenager saw katsu stick his paw out the hole and try to cut his way out with retractable claws, so he kicked it hard and heard Katsu whimper as he jerked it back to his side. "Kind of ironic though, this is how I got you in the first place, remember? You were abandoned in a box and trusted me straight away, how cute!" He picked the box up and Katsu skidded around, not able to get a grip on the surface. He fell asleep thinking it would somehow save him. When he woke, he was in a huge cage, one where he could roam around but only stand up on his knees when the top brushed his head. He looked around to see some huge hamster water container that's made for a Great Dane, just then, he realized he wasn't getting out anytime soon, and there was no telling when the next time his water would be filled, or when they'll bring him food. He curled in a ball and started crying.
