New Year's
Back by popular demand is the sequel to my story, Merry Christmas.

Sakura awoke with a start. It was 6:30 am on New Years day. She knew her baby would
be coming any day. She turned over, looking at her wonderful husband, Syaoron. Not
wanting to wake him up, she quietly got up and walked outside. 'Such a cold day', she
thought and pulled her jacket around her tighter. She decided to walk to the park. 'This is
where I grew up', she thought, 'this is where I, we, caught the cards.' She looked at the
ancient penguin slide, and sat down on the swings, barely fitting.
*flashback*
Sakura and Li were walking around in the park. They sat on the swings, and smiled at
each other. "Sakura, can I tell you something?" "Sure Li" Li blushed, "Well, um... I just
wanted to say that I um... well, I love you." Sakura was pleased, "I love you, too." Then
they leaned together and shared their first kiss.
*End*
Sakura smiled at the memory. She swang a little bit, but then she heard footsteps behind her.
'Who would be out at this time?' She thought and turned around. She saw her loving husband,
dressed in a causal pair of khakis and a black shirt. He sat down in the swing next to her.
"You know, you really shouldn`t be out here." "Yeah, but I was just thinking." "About what?"
Syaoron asked, courisly. "About how I`m hoping Madison and Meilin will come and visit us soon."
Syaoron smiled, "Yeah. Then they can see our wonderful baby." Sakura smiled back at him, and rested
her head on his shoulder. They sat like that for awhile, until Sakura felt a pang in her stomach, and
they went home.
*Later that night*
"Um Li?" Sakura said, walking into the kitchen, where Li was practicing his sword. "Yes
Honey?" He said, sitting it on the table. "I think, I'm going to have my baby" Li went
pale, and gasped. "Um... what should I do?" He said, panicking. "First of all, take me to
the hospital" Sakura smiled, knowing he was very nervous. "Ok." Li grabbed her things
and threw them into their car. Sakura got in.
*Along the way*
"Li, slow down!" Sakura said to Li, who was driving at least 70. "Oh, um, right." He said,
slowing to about 69. Finally, they reached the hospital. They hurried in and got a room.
Then Sakura was rushed to the emergency room. Li sat down, nervous. Then he got up
and started pacing. He kept it up for several hours until the clock started to chime 12, and
he was called to her room.
~*~*~Room~*~* ~
Sakura smiled at her tiny newborn. A light brown stubble of hair was at the top. His eyes,
were green, with a slight hint of Gold. *Like Kero`s* she thought, remembering her old
friend. Then Li came in. Rushing over to her bed, he smiled. "Our beautiful baby. Born
the second the clock chimed 12." Li said, smiling. Sakura handed the baby to Li. Li
carefully held it, gazing lovingly at him and also at his wife. "Happy New Year`s Honey."
Li said. "Happy New Year`s, Li." Together they smiled. "Happy New Year`s Little Tori"
They said in unison, to the little baby, who had fallen asleep in Li`s arms. He had a
peaceful look on his face.

I like the first one better. This one`s kinda stupid. Please R+R, flames, comments, anything. I couldn`t think
of what to write in between her waking up and her having the baby. Why is it named Tori anyways? I don`t know,
because Tori and Li hate each other. Oh well. Go figure. =)
