Chapter 1- The Arrival of the Midfield Phoenix
"Come on Ina-chan let's go! Everyone is waiting for us," my cousin Mamoru said as we were walking to the soccer field. "Can't we wait until tomorrow when I'm officially going to Raimon," I asked. "Nope," Mamoru replied smiling. When we got to the soccer field I saw he other players practicing. When all of the players saw us they stopped practicing and surrounded us. "Everyone this is Ina, my cousin," Mamoru said. "Nice to finally meet you all," I said smiling. After all of the introductions Gouenji said, "For some reason Ina looks familiar Mamoru." I tensed up for a second. All I wanted was to leave my past behind me. I wanted to be treated like a normal kid who loves to play soccer. "You might be mistaking me for someone else," I said trying to change the subject. "No Gouenji's right I think I've seen you before to. Somewhere, but I can't remember," Kazemaru said. "This is why I wish I wasn't born with red eyes. People can regonize me easily," I whispered to Mamoru. "That's true," Mamoru whispered back. A few seconds later I said, "Maybe I can do something that will jog your memory," I said grabbing a soccer ball and walking to midfield. "Tachimukai can you be the goalie? Ina are you sure you want to reveal this? You always said you wanted to keep this a secret," Mamoru asked me as Tachimukai walked to the goal and got into postition. "Yea, they were bound to find out eventually," I replied. "What are you talking about Mamoru," Kidou asked. "You'll find out soon," Mamoru simply replied. I kicked the ball yelling, "Light Phoenix!" The ball transformed into a phoenix made of light. Tachimukai was ready to stop my shot. "Mugen the Hand," Tachimukai yelled as 10 golden hands appeared trying to stop my shot. I smirked, snapped my fingers and yelled, "Phoenix Reborn!" The phoenix transformed into a warrior angel and easily broke through Tachimukai's Mugen the Hand and went in the goal. Everyone but Mamoru looked at me in shock. Especially Kazemaru and Gouenji. "So did you guys remember anything," I asked. "You're the Midfield Phoenix," Kazemaru and Gouenji said. Everyone else but Mamoru looked at me in shock. "Yea, thats me. I'm suprised anyone other than Mamoru rembered that. Since I left soccer 2 years ago," I said looking down. "Why did you quit soccer," Aki asked. "My mom got cancer. I quit so I could take care of her. It was just the two of us because my dad died in the military when I was 5. She died a few days ago. So Mamoru thought it would be a good idea for me to play soccer again," I replied trying to fight back the tears that were welling up in my eyes. "I'm so sorry for you loss Ina," Aki said. "It's okay. I just ask that everyone just treats me like a normal player. Ever since I was known as the Midfield Phoenix people always crowed around me," I said.
