Ben Skywalker, dressed in the formal attire of the New Republic's Rogue Academy, walks to Lana as the song begins, the piano guiding his steps. He offers his hand to her.
"Would you dance with me?"
She nods and takes his hand. Slowly, he leads her to the large floor. His parents, Luke and Mara Skywalker sit at their table and watch their sixteen-year-old son as he twirls Lana around then takes her into his arms.
There comes a time to be free of the heart. I wanna be ready, ready to start. On a love journey, got places to go. Made up my mind and I have got to let you know. Heaven help the heart that lets me inside. Heaven help the one that comes in my life. Heaven help the fool that walks through my door. 'Cause I decided right now I'm ready for love.
Ben's blue eyes look into the brown eyes of his partner as the song plays. He listens to the song and looks at the girl.
"I asked the DJ to play this song. I wanted to tell you something, Lana." He breathes. "Lana I think I've fallen in love with you. I've wanting to tell you but I've never been good with words." He dips her and pulls her back up. Lana wraps her arm around his neck as he has one hand on her back and her hand firmly gripped in the other hand. He looks at the angel in his arms, the rest of the world, looking on.
Mara looks at Luke and they rise and walk to the floor to join their child.
Ben glances over and smiles. Life is perfect.
A funny feeling's coming over me. Now I'm inspired and open to being. In a love place but it's out of my hands. I'm telling you baby that you got to understand. Ben twirls Lana around as the song is nearly completed. The girl comes back to his arms and rests her head on his shoulder, wrapping her other arm around his neck. He takes his arm and wraps it around her waist and holds her close to his body as Lana plays with the hair on the nape of his neck.
I can't see what's out there for me. And I know love offers no guarantees. I'll take a chance and I'm telling you something babe. I got to let you know. Heaven help the heart that lets me inside. Heaven help the one that comes in my life. Heaven help the fool that walks through my door. 'Cause I decided right now. I'm ready for love, ready for love. Take a chance; take the chance on love.
Ben stops dancing as the song is now over and he takes Lana's face in his hands and looks into her eyes. Slowly, he lowers his lips to hers and kisses her deeply, sending her his love through the Force.
Mara and Luke watch their child, stunned.
Ben pulls away from Lana, his smile and eyes speaking for his heart. He is in love with this young girl.
