So, I was originally going to put this in the (possibly) upcoming fanfic between Sode no Shirayuki and Rukia. But that's only an if! And I felt that this part wasn't really necessary, so I was thinking about cutting it, but after reading it over, I thought I should post it here instead!
I don't own Bleach!
And I don't own Romeo and Juliet!
Stupid Bell…
"That Honsho! Why, of all people must she hit on Orihime-chan! And in the most perverted way, too!" Tatsuki raged as she stormed through the trees in her school, "And it doesn't help that Kuchiki-san is as clueless as Orihime-chan!"
"Rukia-sama, I don't think it is safe to be doing this..." a sudden voice whispered from afar.
"Shirayuki-san?..." Tatsuki questioned as she walked towards the voice.
"I know, but I can't go the rest of the day without seeing you..." another voice spoke up.
"And Kuchiki-san?..." Tatsuki was now crouching behind a tree, being as covered as she can by the many leaves and bushes, "What are they doing?..."
Rukia and Sode no Shirayuki were just standing across from one another, nothing very special about that. But when one takes a closer look in their eyes, all they can see is care and a forbidden want. That's what caught Tatsuki's attention.
"I'm in the same class as you," Shirayuki pointed out.
"I know, but..." Rukia started, feeling a blush on her cheeks. She reached out to grab Sode no Shirayuki's hand, and tenderly stroke it.
Sode no Shirayuki didn't pull back, or jerk away from Rukia. In fact, she blushed as well, and took a step closer, "Yes, Rukia-sama?"
Rukia brought her eyes up, and spoke in a hush voice that Tatsuki could still hear,
"If I profane with my unworthiest hand
This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this:
My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand
To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss."
Sode no Shirayuki took a step closer and tighten her grip on the other's hand as she recited the words from that pack of papers Orihime showed them both,
"Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,
Which mannerly devotion shows in this;
For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss."
"Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?"
"Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer."
Rukia took a small step, so that she was only mere inches away,
"O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do;
They pray, grant thou, lest faith turn to despair."
"Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake."
Rukia looked up into Sode no Shirayuki's eyes with a pair of her own pleading ones, "Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take.
Thus from my lips, by yours, my sin is purged."
Sode no Shirayuki took one of her hands, the other still holding Rukia's, and tilted the shorter's chin up, "Then have my lips the sin that they have took."
It was then that the two froze. They have never seen the actual play, but it seemed like the right time to kiss.
With their hearts soaring, and thumping in their chests, they drew in closer. With their shortened breathes, and heavy eyelids, they licked their own lips. With their bodies' shaking from nervousness, they held their breath. Only a few millimeters away, now. And Tatsuki was anticipating for the scene. She hadn't realized she, too, was holding her breath.
But, then, the bell rang signaling the end of lunch. And the end of the almost, so close kiss.
