Madness
Prologue
The room of the medical research facility was dark and gloomy. Only 2 scientists were left working overtime. One was an African-American male human, and a cat female with black fur. Both of them are wearing lab coats.
"Can't believe we're stuck doing the graveyard shift…" the human complained.
"At least we get more pay" the cat said.
"Yeah, guess you're right…"
The two scientists studied the encaged animals. Mostly primates, with some pigs. They were studying how the animals can survive most of the diseases that rampaged throughout the modern world. But there's one disease they were desperately trying to cure, Malaria. This disease was shockingly common throughout the sub-Saharan African continent.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and a group in black clothes rushed in with flashlights, and restrained the scientists.
"What the, what are you--" the human was gagged, along with the feline.
"Shut up, we know you're torturing these animals just for the fun and amusement!" an intruder snarled.
The group, about half were raccoons, some foxes and humans, were working to release the cage.
The scientists tried desperately to warn them that an animal was shipped in here, with a man-made virus. It was too late; a chimp raced to one of the intruders, and bit him.
He screamed in pain, only to behave wildly, thrashing around and snarling. The chimp bit more of the group, but was shot after puking blood. The ones who got bit attacked their comrades, pinning them to the floor and then eating them.
The scientists ran away, and locked the door.
"What have they done?" the human moaned.
"We have to contain them somehow…" the cat rested her chin between her finger and thumb.
They never had time to think, because the door broke down and the infected charged at them…
