Why do you cry?
Delphox sat down on a bench looking at her Branch/wand. Why? Why damn it! Why? Why couldn't she be stronger why couldn't she be better? Delphox tried her best every time but no, no matter what she and Serena did they could never beat Calem in a battle. She had failed her trainer. Delphox forced her eyes shut in an attempt to stop the inevitable tears, and it didn't work. She continued sitting there silently crying.
"Why do you cry?" Delphox sat up looking around for the voice, she turned around only to see the tree that was providing her shade "who said that?" she asked.
That's when Greninja, who had been standing on one of the low branches of the tree now let himself fall back so that he was now hanging upside down from the branch and facing Delphox. His arms were crossed, his eyes in a piercing gaze, his scarf like tongue swinging slowly behind him.
"Why do you cry?" he asked again his expression unchanged.
"Well…umm…" Delphox stuttered trying to compose herself "because…because…" Delphox continued to mumble out.
"Because why?" Greninja asked, "Because I can't beat you damn it!" she suddenly yelled out, to her surprise Greninja was unfazed "and you find yourself weak and useless because of this" Greninja stated. Delphox just nodded surprised at his knowledge of this, but at the moment not enough for her to care.
"Don't feel that way" she looked up "wha-" Greninja cut her off "I've seen you one-shot entire teams, you've swept Calem's team, with me being the last one left, you're not weak Delphox…your strong" he finished. Delphox looked down blushing a bit, she hadn't taken into account about what Greninja had just said until now.
It was silent for a while, neither one saying a word. Delphox however was biting her lip as she continued to contemplate whether or not to do it, she breathed in finally deciding to do it.
"Greninja?"
"Hmm…?"
"Could you…hol…hold me?"
He didn't answer Delphox waited for a response…nothing her heart sank, but just as she was about to get up 2 blue arms with webbed hands wrapped around her waist from behind her, she was then pulled down causing her to lay against a body. That's when Greninja's head came up from behind her as he nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck. He breathed in, inhaling her scent then exhaled. Delphox was stunned, never had she thought Greninja to be an affectionate type. She smiled though, pocketed her branch/wand, and closed her eyes smiling as she placed her black paws silently atop his blue webbed hands.
I really like this pairing for some reason. Anyway If this story gets enough attention I might continue it, but hey If you want me to ake another chapter tell me and please feel free to review well hope you enjoyed this!
