My friends Garrett and Kyle have somehow convinced me that it would be a good idea for us to work a haunted trail/mansion together this Halloween. I decided guess it could work. I told them if we were not put together though I was going to be pissed. they worked it out with the head dude where we can work in a room together. It was actually pretty fun leading up to Halloween, with being "taught" how to scare people. They were pretty chill with all the scenarios we had to act out. For the most part they let us pick what we wanted to do, except for a select few at the beginning and end of the trail, since it had to somehow connect. We chose a couple of people we wanted to work with and we all picked out something we thought would work really well. Opening night approaches quickly and I cannot wait for it. I am surprised I have found it a lot more fun than I thought I would. We all ride together over there early, put on our costumes, and since they are both guys, Garrett and Kyle have me do their makeup. Which, not to toot my own horn but *toot* *toot*, the makeup looks great. Mostly because I have spent hours practicing it on myself, not that I told them that. We get our group together and go to our location in the trail. It takes a little longer to get to because what we decided to do, we need to be farther from everyone. We get there and are just chatting it up before we officially open. We get the signal that the first group of people are starting and we get into position. There are a lot more people than I thought there were going to be, especially for the first night. I never have understood why so many people like going on these things just to get scared. But now I understand why the people who work at these things do. It's incredibly fun and exhilarating. We hear the next group coming and we can tell this group has a lot of scared girls. These groups are my favorite. We all get ready and just as they are about to reach Kyle, he jumps out and scares them. The girls scream and the couple of guys that are in that group make jokes about how it was just a silly jump scare. The guys are in the front and are kind of walking backwards when Garrett scares them. At this point they are expecting me to jump out from somewhere. I, however, don't jump out, I jump down. Right in front of them and the little lighting we had goes out. The girls, and some guys scream. One of the girls falls down. Now this would be a first of someone fainting. I shout at Jack, our lighting and last scare guy, to turn on the lights. When he does there is a girl laying on the ground with her head cut off. It takes us all a second to process this and when we finally do we all scream bloody murder. That's when the body starts to twitch and the group runs away screaming. When we're sure they are far enough away we start laughing hysterically. Beth gets off the ground and puts her "head" back on and tells us she'll see us later. When Halloween is over and we close down, everyone is talking about how scared people were coming from where we were. We knew that was going to be a good way to scare people.
Hope you enjoyed~HP
