Hey Angels! This is my first story so I hope you like it! PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT :)

This was it. This was the moment I had been dreaming of my whole life. It was the moment I would get the letter, the most important letter of my life. The letter that would tell me if I was good enough, or if I was just wasting my time with singing. This was the moment where I would get the letter telling me if I qualified to The Selected competition.

The Selected was a competition for musicians like me. Anyone that wants to auditions can go to the general meeting, from there the King Clarkson and Queen Amber pick 21 girls to compete to become the Performer of The Court. At the end of every week three girls will be cut, until after seven weeks, there will be one winner. I'm hopping that it's me, but before I get there, I need to get my letter telling me I'm a selected. A knock at the door interrupts my thoughts. I run off the couch, making my little sister May scream in surprise. I ignore her, rushing to the door. I didn't have to run very far, seeing as I was a five. We lived in a very small house, everything worn out and breaking. Sometimes it was hard, but I had the most amazing family that made it all okay. As I launch myself at the door handle, I can faintly hear my mom rushing down the stairs, probably alarmed by my sisters scream. I open the door and a man is on the other side.

"Are you Miss America Singer?" He asks, not paying much attention.

"Yes." I answer, still trying to catch my breath.

"On behalf of The Royal Family you have been chosen to be a Selected. Here is you acceptance letter with all the information you will need. There will be a car to pick you up tomorrow to bring you to the palace. You will meet the other girls upon your arrival. Your first official meeting with Prince Maxon will be in 4 days time, he will interview you and if you can manage not to get cut by the end of that week, you will meet the King and Queen for a dinner with the other girls." With that, he hands me the letter and turns around, walking away.

I know it's super short, but I just wanted to see what you guys think of it before I continue. IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTION LET ME KNOW AND I'LL TRY TO INCORPORATE THEM IN THE STORY! PLEASE REVIEW!
