"Joey."
Nothing.
"Joey!"
Again nothing.
"Baby!"
"Yeah?" Joey said removing his headphones.
"Do you know what day it is?"
Joey thought for a moment, not knowing if she was genuinely asking or was getting him ready for a joke.
"Hump day?"
Aki snorted, "Noooo." She removed the computer from Joey's lap, and sat where the laptop once was a second ago. Now Joey sat on the couch, headphones around his neck, with a black and blue haired girl sitting in his lap with her arms around his neck.
"It's pocky day." She said with a song in her voice.
Joey blinked. Was it really? Digging for his phone in his pocket he looked it up just to make sure. And sure enough, it was indeed, pocky day. Looking up at Aki, Joey saw a box of strawberry pocky in her hand. Joey couldn't help but laugh as his girlfriend shook the small box.
"Since when do you celebrate pocky day?"
"What you don't?"
"Never really had someone to celebrate with."
"You had shine…" Aki smirked.
Joey rolled his eyes, "He doesn't count."
"Well now you do. Come on! Just this once. Please babe?"
Aki tilted her head and gave him that cute pouty look she always does.
God dammit.
"Fine, fine."
Aki secretly celebrated in her head while she opened the box and got the long snack, she put the end in her mouth and watched was Joey did the same.
Aki took one little bite.
As did Joey,
Aki took another.
Joey bit down again.
They took turns until there was just a little bite left, their mouths were so close, and their noses bumped against each other. They both looked into each other's brown eyes, Joey's chest filled with love looking at the beautiful girl in front of him. Aki got butterflies in her stomach as his deep chocolate eyes pierced her heart. These were the moments that the couple knew why they fell in love. Silence filled the room and no one made the first move.
Till Joey took the last bite and his lips crashed against hers, his hands went to her waist, his thumb snaked under her and felt her smooth skin. Aki's arms around his neck tighten and her fingers unknowingly traveled to his shaggy soft hair. It was till seconds later that Aki began to kiss back, a spark played along her lips and she held back a whimper.
Joey felt his one hand travel up to her face as he cradled her chin, making her tilt her head. The sensation brought tingles to his lips as he tasted the strawberry pocky left on hers.
The couple broke for air. Not knowing either of them closed their eyes, the Youtubers once again looked at one another. Aki smiled and nuzzled the hand that cradled her face, the thumb against her back started drawing small circles, almost border line tickling her.
Joey, seeing his girlfriend's beautiful smile, gave her a big smile in return.
Not wanting to break contact, Aki leaned into Joey's chest and cuddled into his neck. Feeling Aki's breath on his bare neck, he tightened his hold on her, now with both hands safely secured on her back. Neither said anything, both tired from a long day editing and making videos as well as sightseeing around the country of Japan.
Both slowly fell asleep with an open box of pocky sitting right next to them on the couch cushion.
