Wiped Away

Note: Phoebe and Cole are getting married. Cole is going to give Phoebe Gram's wedding ring, but Gram's never wore it because she backed out of the marriage. The ring was from one of her first marriages. The ring was cursed by an ancient evil.
The news spreads in the Underworld. One Cole's old lovers reacts to it in a bad way and plans to ruin the marriage using the ring.

"Piper where is it?"
Cole looked around the kitchen frantically. He was looking for Phoebe's grandmother's old engagement ring.
"Cole calm down. It was here a second ago."
Piper was opening drawers and looking at shelves. She knew how much Cole wanted Phoebe to marry him and he was planning to give her the engagement ring tonight.

She opened the last drawer and right there the ring was sitting. The light reflected off it and glistened. Piper felt for a moment that the ring smirked at her, but that wasn't possible. It was beautiful, but there was something about it and sent chills up and down Piper's spine.
"It's right here."
She lifted the ring as Cole walked up to her. He took it out of her hands and placed it in his pocket. He too felt chills when he touched the ring, as if something were trying to warn him. Little did he know that it was a warning, a warning of great heartache and danger.

-----------------------------

Phoebe was sitting down and looking at the Book of Shadows. There had to be something, something about demons and witches and weddings, but she found nothing.

She was having second thoughts about marrying Cole, but the thought of hurting him, of seeing his face, was just too much to bear. Inside her heart was being torn in two: her love for Cole and her desire to be free. Why was love so complicated?

Phoebe sat there about twenty more minutes just thinking. Thinking about Cole, about Prue, about spells. Anything to clear her mind of marriage. Then she decided to go downstairs. She closed the book and put it down, As she was exiting the pages started to flip. They stopped on a page about the Ring of Love.

The Ring of Love

A witch cursed this ring around the year 1676. She was left at the altar on the day of her wedding. From that day she promised herself that she would never let that happen to another witch. She meant it to do good, but this ring only brings sorrow and pain, instead of love to the one who wears it.

----------------------------------------

"Ha! A demon and a witch."
That was all that was heard in the Underworld lately. People were arguing everywhere.
"It would only help evil to have a hybrid! It would be more powerful than the Source!"
"How do you know they will have a child? If they do, they will protect it!"

Many people opposed this, but many were for it. There was one demon in particular that was furious about the idea. This demon was known as Manyaka. She was one of Cole's ex-lovers. It's not that she still felt anything for him, but the idea of him choosing a witch over his own kind. He probably could've done better, but instead he did worse.

Demons weren't even supposed know what love was. They were supposed to hate with every once of their being. But not Cole. He went and got stupid. She had to think of a way to stop it. Not only would she have the satisfaction of seeing the witch in pain, but she would be a hero in the Underworld. Praised. Glorified.

Manyaka thought and thought of ways to ruin the engagement and her efforts were fruitless. Then she remembered the Ring of Love. This would do more that ruin the engagement; it would ruin the witch's life. The only way for it to work would be to get the activation spell from the witch that cursed the ring.
