My Hero
Disclaimer: I do not own the canon characters; they belong to Bethesda Studios. However, Asta is my personal Dragonborn character, so I somewhat own her if we're being technical. Lol. Enjoy the story! Based on the drabble prompt: "Get that thing away from me!"
Word Count: 245 (Oops! XD)
When Asta returns from running outside to get firewood, she finds Farkas standing upright on one of their dining room chairs.
"Farkas, what are you-?" the brown-haired Dragonborn inquires with a small laugh, though just barely managing to keep her expression neutral for her husband's sake.
"Get that thing away from me!" the Companion member shouts, and the thundering volume of his voice alerts Blaise and Alesan in the next room where they were practicing swordplay.
"What's wrong, my love?" Asta questions, her blue eyes locking on her husband's silvery-grey ones.
Using one of his massive hands, Farkas points under the kitchen table to none other than the smallest spider Asta has ever seen. If Farkas' arachnophobia didn't have a reasonable origin, Asta would tease her husband about it since Farkas has helped her fight dragons, the Silver Hand, and even vampires/ However, since she knows the reason behind it….
"Tiid klo ul!" Asta shouts in the tongue of the dragons, effectively slowing time.
With time slowed to her advantage, Asta simply removes her Imperial boot and smashes downward, hearing the satisfying crunch of the exoskeleton.
"Good job, Mama!" Blaise and Alesan chorus, in awe of their mother's powers.
"Farkas, you can come down now."
"Thank you, love. Whatever would we have done of you were away on a quest?" he rumbles, a grin crossing over his lips.
"You have two strong boys that would have taken care of it for you," Asta smirks.
Author's Note: It's already my third Skyrim story! I can't help it; since getting the game again, I have fallen in love with my little family, even though I haven't adopted Blaise and Alesan yet on my current save which is the same playthrough as the first time, just I am now three or four years older and wiser. :) I hope you all enjoyed this drabble! Reviews, as always, are appreciated. Until next time, dear readers! Have a great day, afternoon, or night! Sorry this piece was late; I had a nearly twelve hour work day yesterday and then went to babysit twin 4-year-olds for nearly four hours. So, I didn't have time to type this one up yesterday. :(
