99 - In The Beginning…
Pairing: Naruto and Sasuke
In the beginning I hated you.
I hated how you seemed to see yourself as better than everyone else just because of who your family was.
I hated you because of the way all the girls fawned all over you and everyone paid you all the attention and yet you ignored them.
I hated that you had everything I wanted and you just threw it away.
But then I got to know you some. I thought that maybe we could be friends since neither of us had parents. That maybe we could understand each other.
It seemed useless at first, but slowly you seemed to come out of your shell when I was around and I got to know you better. Until that fateful day at the chuunin exams where everything changed.
You changed after that day we were attacked in the forest by Orochimaru. I didn't know what it was at first, but you seemed to be driven more for your lust for power.
The day I lost to you at the Valley of the End felt like I lost my family…my only brother. But I knew then that I could still save you. You had the perfect opportunity to kill me, but you spared my life. Deep down I think you did that so that I could save you from the mistakes you've made.
I trained for years to be strong enough to save you from Madara and yourself. And now the time has come for me to do it. I will risk my life to save you as you did for me against Haku.
The time is coming for us fight again, but I won't lose to you this time. I'm going to save you Sasuke, whether you like it nor not.
In the beginning, I hated you.
But now, you hate me.
In the beginning, you saved my life.
Now it's time for me to save yours.
