Of Nightmares and Sunshine
Will awoke to a loud scream. Within seconds he was up and rushing to the bed across from his. When he got there he saw Nico lashing out and tangled in blankets. When he got close enough he saw that Nico was crying and his face was scrunched up in fear. He was whimpering, gasping, and screaming. Will's heart panged as he grabbed Nico's wrist. He moved on top of him in order to stop him from tangling himself in the blankets more. He pinned Nico's arms above his head. Nico was pulling against Will's hold, screaming.
"NICO! Nico, calm down. It's okay, you're okay, nothings hurting you, you're not there."
He kept speaking to Nico as he moved his arms to his side. He then wrapped Nico in a tight hug, as a way to comfort Nico while still restraining him. Finally Nico's eyes snapped open in fear and one last scream left his lips. Will let go and leaned back some. He reaches up and cupped Nico's face in his hands, using his thumbs to wipe away his still falling tears. He wrapped his arms around Nico's neck and pulled him into his embrace.
"Shh, shh, it's okay, it was just a nightmare, you're safe, and nothing's going to hurt you." He smiled faintly as he felt Nico's small arms wrap around his torso, but the smile faded as he felt and heard Nico sobbing in to his chest. He gently pulled Nico down until they were in a lying position. He held Nico and stroked his hair as he cried.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear, how much I love you, so please don't take my sunshine away."
Will looked down at Nico as he sang, stroking his tear stained check gently.
"The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my arms, but when I woke, dear, I was mistaken, so I hung my head and cried."
Nico onyx eyes where shiny with tears and sadness. He closed his eyes and snuggled into Will's chests. Will tightened his embrace around the younger boy and continued to sing.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy, when skies are gray, you'll never know, dear, how much I love you, so please don't take my sunshine away."
Will leaned down pressed his lips to Nico's forehead gently as the smaller demigod began to snore slightly.
"I love you, sunshine." He whispered softly.
"I love you, too, Will" Came Nico's muffled voice from Will's chest. Will smiled slightly and held Nico until his boyfriend really drifted to sleep in his arms, Will soon followed, dreaming of nothing but Nico and sunshine.
A/N: Sorry if it's short, but ehh. I liked it. This was meant to be a one shot, but I might make it into a multiple one shot fic. You know just a place to write/post all the small, meaningless fluffs that appear in my head. I don't know. Hoped you liked this one. REVIEW PLEASE!
