"Mom what's going on?" mewed a young kit. "Shh, we are hiding from the rouges" replied its mother. Soon after the rouges were gone, the queen padded out of the nursury, noticing the leader, and deputy were killed. "Weaseltooth will be the new leader if anyone does not want to be leader" yowled the medicine cat, Tealheart. The queen found something, blackleaf. The queen put it in front of her four kits, the young kits sniffed the plant, making them fall unconscious. "What's wrong with our kits?" asked her mate, "they're dead" mewed the queen. She bounded off into the forest. She could feel the kits starting to wake up. She padded over to the twoleg nest. Leaving her kits in the garden, "please starclan, let them be found" mewed the queen.

"Come on Rose!" Yelled a grey she-cat, "I'm coming mouse!" yowled Rose, "you coming Cloud?" She mewed, "yes, hey stripe, are you coming?" yowled another she-cat, the last she-cat padded out of the house, following her sisters. The four she-cats saw a patrol, "Halt rouges!" hissed a tom, "we are not rouges" hissed Cloud. "Let them stay for awhile, Deerpelt" mewed a she-cat. "Yes Speckledstar" nodded the tom, "follow me" mewed the she-cat, "where are we going?" mewed Rose, "you'll see" mewed the she-cat, "Speckledstar, is it a good idea to let them in the clan?" hissed the tom, "Deerpelt, I lied to you and the clan, when I said our kits had died, I let them smell blackleaf, and then brought them to twoleg place. If I didn't give them up, Weaseltooth would have become leader, and the clan would be destroyed, I'm sorry." mewed the she-cat, "then you're our mom?" mewed cloud, "yes" replied the she-cat, "Deerpelt and I are your parents, I had to give you up, or we would have been killed, your names were, Berrykit, Graykit, whitekit, and Ashkit" mewed Speckledstar, "you are welcome to join the clan, you will be known as, Berrypaw, Graypaw, Whitepaw, and Ashpaw." added Deerpelt, "okay" mewed the sisters all at the same time.
