Travis still feels guilty about his relationship with Laurie sometimes. She is one of his mom's best friends, after all. It had started out as just sex in his second year of college. Ellie learned about it about seven months in, and forced them to tell Jules about it.

Her reaction hadn't been pretty. She had freaked out, and only Grayson and Bobby had been able to calm Jules down. She reluctantly accepted their relationship afterwards, figuring they'd break up soon anyway.

Laurie felt immensely guilty for going behind Jules' back and sleeping with her son, but she doesn't let it bother her like it does Travis sometimes. Travis was one of her best friends, after all. It didn't matter that he was Jules' son.

At Jules and Grayson's wedding, Travis decided to propose. Laurie rejected the proposal when it finally happened, telling him they weren't that kind of couple. He was surprisingly okay with that.

They moved in together after Travis graduated from college. They weren't ever going to get married, but moving in together was fine.

Laurie rolled over and faced her boyfriend of ten years. "What are you thinking about?" she questioned, sleepily.

"Just how much I love you," Travis answered. He smiled and kissed her.

Laurie beamed. "I love you too, Trav." She was glad to be with him. Their relationship was stable.

It was times like these that Travis was glad he and Laurie had gotten together in secret. It was all worth it.

Travis and Laurie had an unconventional relationship, but they didn't care what anyone thought of them. And Jules was okay, especially since she had just learned they were giving her a grandchild in six months.

And to think, it had all started because of a bet before he left before college. They hadn't gotten together for about ten months after that, but it still counted.

Nothing was going to get in the way of Travis and Laurie's happiness. They would always be together. There'd be fights of course, but that was okay. They were just like any other normal couple in the world.
