Aubrey and Beca were having problems in their relationship. They were currently in the middle of an argument because Beca refused to listen to Aubrey. Somehow, they get to the point of Beca crying and Aubrey storming out of their shared apartment.

About an hour later, enough time for Aubrey to calm down and face Beca, she had shown up at the apartment. She wasn't able to open the door before she heard Beca's alto voice singing to Jason Mraz.

When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well, there's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?

Well, I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

She paused not wanting to make her appearance outside the door known.

And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

Aubrey was almost crying as she realized what she was doing. She was expressing her feelings the only way she knew how, through music.

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got, yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not, and who I am

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up, still looking up.

Well, I won't give up on us (no I'm not giving up)
God knows I'm tough enough (I am tough, I am loved)
We've got a lot to learn (we're alive, we are loved)
God knows we're worth it (and we're worth it)

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

As soon as Beca had stopped singing, Aubrey had slid against the wall thinking how much she messed up. She loved Beca, more than she ever thought she could, but here she is, sitting on the floor in the hallway feeling pathetic.

As soon as Aubrey composed herself, she went into the apartment. Beca was sitting on the couch staring at the blank T.V. with tear stained cheeks.

"Babe?"

Beca looked up, a small smile on her face for seeing Aubrey. Aubrey immediately went over to sit down and hold Beca. She couldn't talk because she was crying too much over such a stupid mistake. All she could do was hold her, hoping she knew how much Beca meant to her. And like it was a whisper, Aubrey had finally spoke up:

"I won't give up"
