Chapter 1: My new nemesis!
Ten years ago:
"Lavi? Lavi, please wake up! Don't scare me…" A whimper near the red-haired boy sobbed. The boy slowly open his eyes but he could only sees through his right eye. "W-What? What happen to my left eye?" Lavi was confused. He remembered being in the car with his family and the next thing is he was in the hospital lying on the bed. He turns to the side to face the voice, which calls out to him. What he seen startled him.
"L-Lavi…" A seven-years old boy whimpered. He has white hair that reach to his shoulder, his left arm and left side of the face was bandaged heavily. "A-Allen? W-When did your hair-?" "Ah, looks like you're awake, Lavi." An old man said whilst sitting on the chair beside the bed. "Gramps? W-why are you here? Where are Mom and Dad?" "I'll tell you everything after you've finished your rest here. Rest, for now!" He replied. "I want to know now!" Lavi argued. "L-Lavi…" Lavi realized Allen was calling him while shivering. "Promise me…" Allen hesitated. "You won't…act up…" Lavi nodded. He waited patiently for Allen to speak up.
"They…they've…" Allen stumbled his words before he looked away from Lavi. "They've passed away…" Lavi widened his eyes before narrowing them. He remember now…
Flashback:
"Hey Mom, where are we heading?" Allen asked innocently, making him look adorable when he shifted his head to the left. He has brown hair instead of white. Anyone would have thought of him as an angel instead of a kid. "Let's see, having dinner at the restaurant as usual…" His mom replied. Allen cheered, at the restaurant there, there would always have mitarashi dangos waiting for him. "Gee, what a kid you are, bean sprout…" Lavi mocked. "No fair, Bro. I'm about the same height as you…" Allen pouted. "You're only seven, still have a long way kid." Lavi smiled rarely. He only smiles specially for Allen.
"Aw, what a wonderful brother complex you have there, Lavi-kun…" His father teased, which caused the red-haired boy to blush. "S-Shut up, old man!" He ranted. The father chuckles along with the mother. "Well, I have to agree though." She said. "Dear, in front of you!" The father shrieked. Their mother quickly turned the wheel and shift to 1st gear whilst stepping on the brake. But soon, another car crashed into them.
Lavi screamed as the broken pieces of mirror slices through his left eye. He tried to search for the rest of his family. "Mom! Dad! Allen! Where are-?" Lavi stopped as he stared at the scene in front. Their mother was not even moving. Allen was unconscious whilst their father tried to open the door but to no avail due to his limited strength. He was rather bleeding nonstop. "L-Lavi, try to open…the door…" Lavi obeys and open. Success. "T-Take Allen out f-fast…" His father said. Lavi shakes his head slowly. "NOW!" His father shouted. Lavi was scared and don't know what to do. He stood there until there was a piercing scream. Allen's left hand was on fire along with his left side of his face. Lavi immediately panicked and quickly led Allen out so the public outside could help to call an ambulance quick.
Their father watched, as Lavi and Allen got out safe and sound. Although Lavi was not far, he could hear his father chuckling to himself. Their father smiles to himself, "Now, I do not have any regrets. If you want to kill me now, go ahead. Noahs…" With that, the car exploded.
End flashback:
He looked shocked. He gritted his teeth, trying his best not to cry in front of young Allen. Cause compared to himself, Allen was with more injuries than him, especially his mental state. Until the stage where his hair turns white, he must have been in a very serious shock in such a mental state. Allen sobbed silently, "I'm sorry. All because of me…" Lavi hugged Allen, "It's okay. It's not your fault…" He sings a soft lullaby so Allen could sleep soundly. With that, he sets the boy at his bed, beside him. "So Gramps…" Lavi started. His grandfather look at him with his weary eyes, probably the old man has not slept for days.
"Who are the Noahs exactly? And why are they after our lives?" Lavi asked. The old man was shocked to say the least. Their parents couldn't have mention them, right? "Dad said it before he died in the explosion. His voice was low, still my sensitive ears can reach it." Lavi explained. The old man shakes his head, "Mana and Luna instructed me before, and you kids are still young and shouldn't get involved in adults' problem…" Lavi bit his lips. "If you must know, go and study yourself. Don't think once your parents are gone, you can rely on me instead…Allen needs your help more then mine…" With that, the old man walks out of the hospital room.
Lavi bit through his lips till he can taste the ironic metallic blood gulping down his throat. "I'm sorry. It's my fault…I swear…I'll promise you…" Lavi said as he stroke Allen's hair. "I'll stay by your side forever and keep you away safely, even if it means taking my life away from you…I'll make sure you'll be happy forever…"
Ten years later:
"Ding-dong! Ding-dong!"
"Yes, coming!" A man hummed as he turns down the heat on the stove and takes out the cake from the oven. He sets his apron down and took off his baking gloves. He has red spiky hair with a headband to keep his bangs from covering his eyesight whilst he uses a pirate eye cover to cover his left eye, leaving his other eye to be the only sight he sees on this world.
One could not even imagine the painful past behind his cheerful personalities. He would always be there smiling 24/7 even during his sleep. Soon, he walks towards the door, allowing a white-hair teen in. He frowned shortly after a man followed his beloved teen behind. "Um, Allen…Why is this anti-social brat here?" Lavi shuddered, the man glared daggers at him. "Lavi, don't be mean to him. He's my boyfriend!" Allen pouted. Lavi widened his eyes and dropped his jaws. "Would you mind repeating?" Allen has to sigh due to Lavi's stupidness. "This is Lavi, my elder brother and the only family I have…" Allen introduced to the man. Lavi glanced at his raven long ponytail that reaches to his waist. "And this is my boyfriend, Yuu Kanda. We'll be marrying in a year time after we've graduated."
Lavi gasped. He can't believe Allen has been…moreover he is his brother! "Y-Yeah, I'm gay. So what?" Allen said, exactly what Lavi didn't want to hear. That's the end. Lavi fainted.
"Urg, why Allen?" Lavi cried a river of tears on Allen's shoulder. "Stop it, Lavi…the carpet is going to be on a wash again if you don't stop your crying!" Allen sighed, making himself comfortable on Kanda's lap. Lavi widened his eyes. Kanda smirked and give him a middle finger behind Allen's back. Lavi gritted his teeth. "A-Allen…you do know whom you're saying, right?" Lavi said. "Yes, and trust me, he'll be my right choice. He is the Prince Charming whom I've been looking for!" Allen smiled. Lavi rolled his eyes. "You've got to be freaking kidding me. This guy was not even capable making friends, but have the capability to love you?"
"Watch it, Baka Usagi…" Kanda glared, warning Lavi. Lavi shuddered and stop his ranting. Allen sighed, "I know, but over these few months, he has been doing nothing but showering me with his love."
"But you do know that Britain here don't allow same-sex marriage, right?" Lavi protested.
"Haven't you read the news lately, Lavi the Bookman?" Allen argued. "They allowed it and would only starts next year…one of the reasons why we will only marry next year…"
"But then what about kids? You can't have kids if you were to-"
"Like I said, Lavi…" Allen interrupted. "Haven't you read the news lately? Now technology is so advanced, now the professors and scientists said that there's a possibility that men can also produce babies."
Lavi jolted, goddamn! No matter what he said, Allen could counter back.
"And in the meantime, I would like Kanda to stay here with us for a little while to get used to each other…" Allen announced, Lavi had the second shock of his life today. "Because Kanda don't wish to stay with his father, he suggested staying in our house."
"Then where will he sleep?" Lavi smirked deeply. "We don't have any guest rooms…"
"And didn't I tell you that I would need to study overseas last week?" Allen protested. "It will take another year before I could graduate. So that's one of my two reasons. Until then, Kanda could stay in my room. Is that okay?"
"No, it's not…" Lavi was ranting halfway when he thought of something. If Kanda would to stay here, he would no doubt be intolerant of my character. When that time comes, he would no doubt break up with Allen and Allen would be saved from this toad lusting after the swan! He chuckled darkly inside. "Oof, fine. Yuu can stay here."
"How many times must I tell you back in the old days DON'T CALL ME BY MY FIRST NAME!" Kanda scorched.
Allen cheered, "Thanks, Lavi. You're the best brother I could ask for! So with that settles, I wish you the best of luck for tomorrow. Kanda has already brought his belongings here. So he can sleep with me in my room!" Lavi gasped, "Now no way, Allen. I won't allow pre-marital sleep between your partner."
"But where would-" Allen started but was interrupted by his lover. "I can sleep on the couch. It won't kill me…" Kanda suggested. Allen looks at him, "Are you sure?" Kanda nodded.
"Then, I'll see the both of you tomorrow in the morning before my flight, good night!" Allen cheered, kissing Kanda on the lips, before heading to his room.
"Oh god, Allen's first kiss has been taken by this guy!" Lavi said mentally, clutching his chest as it hurts. "At least that's not the worst point. I'll literally make sure by the end of the year, Yuu will leave Allen's side." Lavi chuckled loudly, making Kanda curious what could the Baka Usagi be up to? He knows the idiot since first grade since they're in the same age. But he do knows that whatever the Usagi is up to, it's always up to no good.
