Felonius and his family were taking a ride. "Where are we?" Lucy asked. Gru shrugged. He didn't know where they were.
Pretty soon, they saw a building. "Hmm. What's this?" Gru asked and he parked the car.
The family got out. Margo was texting. Edith looked around. "Can we go in that building?" Edith asked. "Alright, but I don't really want to know what's going on." Gru said.
The Gru family walked into the building. "It looks safe." Lucy said. "Yeah right." Gru said and he had his arms crossed.
They saw a lot of kids. "Gru, I mean it. Look. This building has a lot of kids in here." Lucy said. Then they heard the song Up Down Left Right.
"What kind of music is that?" Gru asked. "I'm not sure." Lucy said. "Dru wouldn't be listening to that." Gru said. "Yeah. I never heard that before." Lucy said.
Gru and his family were confused with the music. The only person who knew about the music was Agnes. "Wait, I know what this is." Agnes said.
"What?" Gru asked. "Have you heard of the newest band called Soundcheck?" Agnes asked. Gru had a strange look on his face. He was very confused.
"Soundcheck!?" Gru asked. Agnes nodded. "That's weird." Gru said. "No it's not." Agnes said.
"We never heard of it." Lucy said. "Who are the members?" Edith asked. "Well there's Tony D, Danny T, Ringo, Johnny J." Agnes said.
Lucy heard the name Ringo. She thought it was the drummer who was in the Beatles. "Ringo? A Beatle! It's the Beatles!" Lucy screamed. Lucy is a huge fan of the Beatles.
"Lucy, I love the Beatles too, but sadly, it's not the Beatles." Gru said. "Oh." Lucy said and sighed. "It's an all boy band that everyone loves." Agnes said.
"Okay. You're losing it." Margo said. "No I mean it." Agnes said. A boy walked over to them. Gru took his freeze ray out just in case.
"Hi. Who are you?" The boy asked. "I'm Lucy, this is my husband Gru, and these are my daughters. Margo, Edith, and Agnes." Lucy said.
"Who are you and what do you want?" Gru asked while he still had his freeze ray in his hand. "My name's Otto." The boy said. Agnes gasped.
"No way! You're from that squad called Odd Squad!" Agnes screamed. Gru's family looked at Agnes. "I heard about these guys. They solve odd problems." Agnes said.
"Well nice to meet you." Otto said. "Nice to meet you too." Agnes said. "Great. Wonderful, but let's go." Gru said. "Wait Gru. Let's not leave now." Lucy said.
Gru sighed. "Fine." He said. Then a girl walked over. "Can I help you?" She asked. "We were just leaving." Gru said.
"Gru." Lucy said. "Wait a minute. Gru? As in Felonius Gru?" The girl asked. "Yes." Gru said. "You used to be a villain and now you reformed and started a family!" The girl yelled.
"Okay, how do you know who I am?" Gru asked. "Everyone knows who you are. You're the man who stole the moon. I'm Olive." The girl said.
"First of all, after I stole the moon, I put it back! Now I've got to go." Gru said and he started to walk away. Then Agnes began to use her puppy dog eyes.
"Gru, wait. Look at little Agnes." Lucy said. Gru saw Agnes's puppy dog eyes and sighed. "Fine. We won't leave." Gru said. "So you're Felonius Gru." Otto said. Gru nodded.
Another girl walked over. "What's going on here? Get back to work!" She yelled. "Yes Ms. O." Olive said. "Yeah. And we're leaving." Gru said. "Gru, please stop leaving." Agnes said.
"I'm Ms. O." The girl said. "I'm Felonius Gru and this is my family." Gru said. "What brings you here?" Ms. O asked. "Well we were taking a ride, but we got lost. Then my daughter Edith wanted to come to this building." Gru said.
"Well welcome to Odd Squad. We're an organization that's run by kids." Ms. O said. "What? Kids? Really?" Gru asked.
"Now what Felonius?" Lucy asked. "I don't think that kids should be in charge of an organization." Gru said.
"Oh Felonius." Lucy said. "Please Gru? I trust them." Agnes said. Gru looked at Margo and Edith.
Margo was still texting. "Edith?" Gru asked. "It's alright, but if Agnes really wants to be here, I'll stay." Edith said.
"Okay. Agnes, you win. We'll stay here, but just for one day." Gru said. Agnes smiled. "Yes!" Olive yelled. "So what do you do?" Gru asked. "We solve odd cases." Ms. O said. "And we use math to solve it." Otto said.
"Yawn." Gru said. "Felonius." Lucy said. "I mean, dawn. Wait,what?" Gru asked. "This is amazing!" Agnes yelled.
"Olive, Otto, in my office! Now!" Ms. O yelled. Otto and Olive went to Ms. O's office. "You wanted to see us Ms. O?" Otto asked.
"Yes. Before you go to the Soundcheck concert, something very odd has happened." Ms. O said. "What is it?" Olive asked. "Odd Todd." Ms. O said. Agnes and her family walked in. "Ooh. An odd case." Agnes said. "We're not going." Gru said.
"Actually Gru, I need you to go with them." Ms. O said. "Why?" Gru asked. Agnes squealed. "They need an ex-villain." Ms. O said. Gru sighed. "Can I go with them?" Agnes asked.
Edith scoffed. "Oh come on. I should go." Edith said. "But I want to go." Agnes said. "Hey, how about both of you come?" Olive asked. "Cool." Edith said. "Yay!" Agnes yelled.
"Well what are you waiting for? Go!" Ms. O screamed. Gru took his freeze ray out. "Don't even think about screaming at me!" Gru yelled. Ms. O was speechless.
Gru, Agnes, Edith, Olive, and Otto went to the tube lobby. "Why are we here?" Gru asked. "We go through tubes." Olive said. "It's so much fun." Otto said.
Agnes and Edith looked at Gru. "Can we do it?" Edith asked. "Please?" Agnes asked. Gru sighed. "No. No, no, no. We are not taking small tubes. We are walking." Gru said.
"Aw." Edith said. "Oh man." Agnes said. "We'll meet you in a few minutes." Gru said. "Oh come on." Olive said. Gru sighed. "Fine." Gru said.
The two girls cheered. Then they went through the tubes. "Yahoo!" Edith yelled. "I love this!" Agnes yelled. Gru was screaming. "I know. It's awesome right?" Otto asked.
"Yeah!" Edith and Agnes yelled. "Not really." Gru said. Then they got out of the tubes. "So what did you think about the tubes?" Olive asked. "Awesome." Edith said. Agnes nodded.
Gru took two of his weapons out. His freeze ray and the laser gun. "Let's get this little boy." Gru said. Olive saw the weapons.
"Whoa! Gru! No! We don't use those weapons. We use gadgets." Olive said. "Yeah." Otto said and he took a gadget out.
They heard laughing and they saw Odd Todd. "Odd Squad." Odd Todd said. "You take one step and you will be disintegrated!" Gru yelled.
"Who the heck are you?" Odd Todd asked. "The name's Gru, and you do not want to mess with me." Gru said and he froze Odd Todd.
"Gru!" Olive and Otto yelled. "What? I froze him." Gru said. Olive sighed. "Don't worry. We have an Unfreeze-inator." Otto said.
"Why would you want to unfree him? He's a villain." Gru said. "He causes oddness." Otto said. "There's no such thing as oddness. It's called villainy." Gru said.
"Oh great. There goes Gru again." Edith said. "I know you guys solve oddness." Agnes said. "Correct." Olive said.
"So oddness is like villainy." Gru said. "Well it's not a good thing." Otto said. "So can unfree Odd Todd and use the gadget on him instead?" Olive asked.
"Fine, but the freeze ray doesn't unfreeze people." Gru said. "No problem. Like I said, Unfreeze-inator." Otto said.
Otto unfreezed Odd Todd. "What happened? I was frozen." Odd Todd said. "Yes, you were." Gru said.
"We're here to stop you Odd Todd!" Olive yelled. Odd Todd laughed and ran away.
"Nice! Awesome! Thanks to you, he got away. If you just let me freeze him,none of this would have happened, but did you listen to me? No!" Gru yelled. "That's it. We're leaving." Gru said.
Agnes stopped him. "No. We can't leave yet." Agnes said. "We don't belong here. We were supposed to take a ride, but not anymore." Gru said.
Then Otto's watch beeped. Otto gasped. "Yes!" He yelled. "Yes we can leave or yes about something else?" Gru asked. "Soundcheck time." Otto said.
Agnes smiled. "Cool." Agnes said."Gru, can we go?" Edith asked. "Please?" Agnes asked. "I don't know guys. We have to go back. Lucy and Margo are waiting." Gru said.
"Well then let's tell them. I bet they'll want to come with us." Agnes said. "Fine." Gru said.
The Odd Squad agents, Felonius Gru, and the two girls went back to the squad.
Back at the squad, Lucy was talking to a boy in a lab coat. His name was Oscar. "So you were the first scientist?" Lucy asked.
Oscar nodded. "Wow." Lucy said. Margo was sitting in a chair and she was texting. Olive and Otto walked over.
"Hey. I see that you met Oscar." Olive said. Lucy nodded. "Lucy, can we go to the Soundcheck concert?" Agnes asked. "Sure. I'd love to see Ringo Starr." Lucy said.
Gru sighed. "It's not a Beatles concert." Gru said. "Oh, but I still want to go." Lucy said. Margo, Edith, and Agnes looked at Gru. "Fine. We'll go." Gru said.
The girls cheered and Lucy smiled. Gru walked over to Otto. "Okay. We'll go." Gru said. "Yes! Thanks Gru! Come on girls." Otto said. "We're coming too." Lucy said. "Cool." Otto said.
They went to the Soundcheck concert. Gru was sitting next to Lucy. "I can't wait to see Ringo." Lucy said and squealed. "Lucy, calm down." Gru said. "Sorry." Lucy said.
Margo, Edith, and Agnes were waiting for the band. "I wonder what songs they're going to sing. All My Loving, The Night Before, I Saw Her Standing There, Penny Lane." Lucy said.
Otto looked at Lucy. "You know what Soundcheck is right?" Otto asked. "Yeah. Their names are John, Paul, George, and Ringo." Lucy said.
"Well you got Ringo right, but the other guys are named Tony D, Danny T, Johnny J." Otto said. "Oh yeah, but I'll know their music." Lucy said.
"Lucy, you're thinking about the Beatles. This group isn't the Beatles." Gru said. Then the Soundcheck members came. "I love you Beatles!" Lucy screamed. Otto looked at Lucy.
"Last night I said these words to my girl. I know you never even try, girl." Lucy sang. "They're not going to sing Please, Please Me." Gru said.
The Soundcheck members started singing Take Away Four. "Take away one, take away one, take away one, take away one breath from me and you take away four. Whoaohoh." They sang.
Gru rolled his eyes and Lucy was confused. "What? What's this? This isn't the Beatles. What happened to All My Loving?" Lucy asked.
"We tried to tell you." Margo said. "But you didn't listen." Edith said. "This is Soundcheck, not the Beatles." Agnes said. "Oh." Lucy said in a sad tone.
"I can't stand this. Lucy, we should go." Gru said. "But look at Otto and the girls. They're having a great time. Sure, this isn't our favorite music, but we can't just leave. Come on, let's try to get into this music." Lucy said.
"This is a childish band. How is Margo okay with this?" Gru asked. "Ask her." Lucy said. "I will. Margo, how are you okay with this music?" Gru asked. "I'm fine." Margo said.
"Edith?" Gru asked. "I like it too." Edith said. "Agnes?" Gru asked. "I love this band." Agnes said. Gru sighed.
Two hours later, the concert was over. Gru, Lucy, the girls, and Otto left. "So what do you think?" Otto asked. "Great!" Margo yelled. "Awesome." Edith said. "I love Soundcheck!" Agnes yelled.
"Well it was nice to meet you and all, but we really should be going." Gru said. "Bye." Otto said.
Gru, Lucy, and the girls went back to the car and drove away. Lucy put on some Beatle music.
"That was a great concert." Agnes said. Edith and Margo nodded. "I'm glad you liked it." Lucy said while she was dancing to All My Loving by the Beatles. Gru drove back to his house.
