The General had invited SG-1 to a barbecue because he had something to announce. Daniel guessed that Jack was about to tell them he was going to retire, but he was really stunned, nearly shocked, when Jack told them that he had found a new love in his life.
"What!" The exclamation was the only thing Daniel managed to say, followed by, "Who?"
Teal'c raised an eyebrow, and for a few seconds the barest hint of a smile crossed his lips.
"Sam," Jack shortly answered.
"Sam, what does Sam have to do with it?" Daniel didn't see the smile on Teal'c's face grow bigger. Very confused, Daniel looked first to Jack and then to Sam and then back to Jack. He didn't say a word at first, only looking into their eyes and then suddenly shaking his head, he stated, "No, I don't believe you."
"See and believe," Sam told him, while looking directly into his shocked, wide blue eyes.
She turned to Jack, cupped his face with her hands and kissed him. He immediately responded to the kiss, which left a completely stunned Daniel and a very happy Teal'c... Who had never smiled that long before.
