The Mystery Of The Missing Phone With A Side Helping Of Salsa Dip
I
"Wow you travel light don't you!" laughed Bella as my tiny clutch bag dangled below my left shoulder. It was Tuesday, around midday and the dewy air heavy with an autumnal aura. Bella ushered to me as I stepped over the threshold and into their spotless hall. The pictures surrounding the room showing countless numbers of bicycles, and the occasional baby faced Bella grinning out of the photo-frame. We tramped through the kitchen when Bella turned to me, "my mum says she can drop you off tomorrow if that's alright" she announced.
" What! ," I blurted rudely, " it's a sleepover!?" Bella looked at me and her mind registered the fact that some days I'm a bit of a 'dope'. After a very long drafted explanation followed by an equally boring apology, we hiked up the stairs and into her newly decorated bedroom. Placing my bag down I received a text message, so I read it and commenced taking (if I may say so) very random photos of her Twilight posters and pictures. Bella started rummaging I thought nothing of it until she started 'huffing and puffing'.
"Alice? Have you seen my phone anywhere?" she asked giving me a puzzled look. This is the moment our quest, to find the missing phone began.

"I remember it was in my trouser pockets and… Oh my God they went in the wash!" Bella yelped running down the stairs and into the utility. I followed slightly bewildered, the change of altitude from one floor to another was too much for me in so little time. When I entered the room Bella was scrabbling in a pile of laundry which was turned out from the laundry basket. After a good ten minutes a face full of pure confusion was staring back at me.
It was at least an hour later and all hope was lost for Bella's phone yet whenever we changed rooms we had a good look. Our grilled sandwich's were cooking and we were watching a film. I could tell Bella was still worried. Would we ever find her phone?

When the film finished and our tuna melts were eaten we rearranged ourselves round her computer which looked exactly like a telly. After a good half an hour of Farmville, Bella grumbled, "I've got the nibbles." she rose and skipped into the kitchen. After countless bangs and clatters Bella sat back down, a look of triumph on her face. What she had produced was a tube of Pringles and … (duh duh duh !) Salsa dip! She feverishly delved into the Pringles and stuck her fingers in the dip, sucking off what she had scavenged. At first her munching did not deter me but afterwards the Salsa was luring me and my stomach gave a very unflattering rumble. The ludicrous dip was calling me, I could not resist it any longer and my little finger which by now I had no control over delved into the dip and was jabbed into my mouth. The taste was heaven as the Salsa was not too spicy and was so lumpy and crunchy it was delicious. Bella was already taken by the Salsa and her finger was automatically diving into the pot and into her mouth, the movements repeated until the pot was nearly empty.

It was five o-clock and the door bell rang a resounding tune. It was my mum, it was time for me to leave. By now we had both forgotten about the mysterious disappearnce of the mobile phone. It wasn't until later when I was lying in my bed when all of a sudden the side of my head lit up and vibrated! I gave a resounding yelp and I sat bolt upright. I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw my mobile lying on my pillow (why it was there I don't know) I had received yet another message. It was Bella! As I read the message I could feel a smile on my face. After hours of hunting she'd found it amazingly enough. The message read, " I found it"...
Really?
The End
