Being Average
Author's Note: This is my first fanfiction and I'm not sure whether its good or not. So, please take care of me from now on!
Disclaimer: I think that the characters will be a little OC. Of course, I don't own Gakuen Alice.
Chapter 1: Emotionless. Cold-Hearted. A Jack-of-all-Trades
She always thought that she was a nobody. She still thinks that she's a nobody. Will the strings of fate of this almost-15-year-old girl change?
She's just a average school student. Sure, she makes it into the honors but never gets any awards. She thinks that she's not good enough. She doesn't have any talents, or so she thinks. Sure, she's good in English and other classes because they come natural to her. She is unpredictable. She is on-the-spot. But in these times, no one cares. She always gets beaten by someone who works harder than her even though she doesn't need to study much. But she has talent naturally. She wonders why these people won't give her the chance to shine. Why was she always put in the sidelines?
She always watches him from afar. Well, sort of. The kind of so-close-yet-so-far scenario. Yes, that scenario. Anyway, she is a "tsundere" of simply a person who hides what she really feels in a cold and negative demeanor.
Her first impression of him was "the-too-cool-to-care" attitude. They were neither friends nor classmates. She watches him every morning ceremony with that horrid uniform she has to wear every day. His eyes, his black or dark brown, she wasn't sure, orbs she wants to look into so deeply and she thinks that she will melt if he looks in their direction.
She is cunning. She is a liar. She hides her true self with the mask she created when she first started high school. She has many friends but she thinks none of them may be able to understand. She is always serious. She doesn't like to be joked around because the realities of life are harsher than that.
She is composed. Sort of. She likes to become as mature as she can be. She likes taking things seriously. She likes doing things that are beyond her capabilities. Her hobbies are different from other girls. They like make-up or cooking but she is so different. She likes computers and screwdrivers like her best friend.
She is a girl full of dreams. She wants to study many languages. She wants to learn many things. She dreams on learning archery, soccer, target shooting, karate, kenpo, muay thai, jujitsu and others. She wants to learn painting, singing, dancing and calligraphy. She wants so many things. She knows that life is hard that she will never have her dreams come true. She knows that her wishes will never be granted.
She is not perfect. Her hair is like dried straw. Her face is something not worth telling. Her weight is very under normal. And she is not even tall. She proclaims that she's beautiful to hide the pain she feels.
She believes in love but feels that she will not be blessed with someone who will love her forever. She is heart-broken. She hates to believe in happy endings.
Maybe she's not cut out for this. You may think that she's pessimistic but that's just a fact of life.
She is only average. She wishes to become more than that. She is a jack-of-all-trades. She wants to be loved.
