Some things don't mean anything to you.

Some things mean a lot.

And then there are the very rare things that mean the world to you.

For me, Miroku Kanzaki, I had many things that meant nothing to me, a few things that meant a lot, and nothing that meant the world to me.

Until, of course, I met her...

I walked past her everyday on my way home from work. I never really noticed her before, because she always had her nose in a book. But that day was different. On that day, she was crying.

I, being the gentleman that I am, decided to go and comfort her...and if my hands decided to help with the comforting, no one could blame me, right?

Me: Yeah, I know; it's short. But it's only the prologue! It'll get better, I promise.

Yasashii: Uh-huh. Right. It'll get better...if you ever update it.

Me: Oh, leave me alone! I'll update it...eventually...
