It had been a year since my partner in the Akatsuki Meghan had been killed, and the days have turned quieter and my attitude towards males had changed, all because of stupid Pain. There would have been a way to save her, but his orders were for me to kill her so I really didnt have a choice. But shes dead now so
Ive been very antisocial. I have refused and rejected all the help I was offered, and avoided physical contact as much as possible. I have stopped attending meetings, and ignored the missions to hunt the tails. Pain has tried to kill me at least a dozen times, but two people always stopped him; the two people whom I didnt deserve.
I have been so hostile to them. Ive insulted what theyd say, I told them off of whatever I could think of. In general, I was a rather fickle person towards them, but that didnt stop them, which confused me. Tobi, the hyperactive was one of them. He reminded me of Meghan like that, especially when he said obscene things to Pain. Kakuzu, the money-lover was the other. He doesnt seem like the one who gives a shit about anything and anyone, but he does.
Now, I am in my room sitting on the empty bed. The windows were barred shut thanks to Tobi and Meghan's constant drabbles and attempts to throw each other out the window, but mostly because of my escape attempts. Pain had also installed one of those weird doorknobs which you can lock on the outside, so no one could leave or enter. But I had my books, so I decided to try and write a happy story for once, but I ended up ripping it to shreds. I went to my dreamland, but was interrupted when Tobi somehow had mysteriously unlocked the door and ran in to give me a huge hug.
Youre alive! he exclaimed, practically suffocating me.
I swear I was turning purple. No shit, Im alive! But I wont be for long if you keep crushing my bones I choked.
He let go and looked up at me from behind his orange-like mask, and I swear he was giving me the worlds biggest smile.
How did you get in? I asked confusedly.
I stole Konans bobby pin, no biggie. He replied casually.
Tobi isnt a kleptomaniac, but when it came to Konan, everything seemed to disappear.
Footsteps were heard as well as the sound of coins clanging against one another. I immediately knew it was Kakuzu.
Hey, Rey ITobi, what are you doing here? he asked, eyeing Tobi first, then me.
Same to you, Kakapoo. I came to visit Rey-chan because Tobi is a good boy with a good hearty and actually cares about people and their feelings. But not Kakuzu, after all he is the meanest and coldest next to Pain, right? No way would mean, tough old Kakuzu would care as much as to come visit someone when theyre alone or sad! Tobi began mocking Kakuzu.
Kakuzu is pretty much what Tobi said, but most of it was wrong, which doesnt make sense.
Wow, Tobi. You honestly dont know anything about me. Kakuzu replied, causing the smirk to wipe off of Tobis face.
Tobi gawked at what Kakuzu had said, but he quickly recomposed himself. Well, Ive never seen you comfort her, or hug her, or converse with her or even kiss her, so I obviously care more about her than you do, hence I have done every single one Tobi stopped, realizing what he had just said.
