Today was a nice sunny summer on July 1st 1983. The Camden's three children, Matt; Mary and Lucy were roaming and running around the house like crazy. Annie Camden just thought they had too much sugar that day, or it was because it was summer time. Annie looked at the clock and said to herself, "It's only 10:30; I have a long, long day ahead of me." Annie thought to herself and took a deep sigh. Annie looked at her 5-year-old son, her 4-year-old daughter and her youngest daughter who is three. "Mommy can we go outside and play?" Lucy asked her mom with a smile on her face. "Sure honey, but you'll have to wait a couple minutes. You're not allowed to go outside unless there is an adult." "Okay mommy, then can you hurry so we can go?" Annie laughed at the way her daughter said that; she loved her children and her husband. Annie went upstairs to get the phone incase it rang, and also went and changed her clothes. Within the next 10 minutes, they were all outside playing. Lucy noticed a family of kids on the lawn next store, so she decided to give them a visit. Mary and Matt followed her. "Hi, I'm Lucy." The three kids looked at her and smiled. "Hi I'm Kevin." The tallest one told her. "I'm Ben and this is Patty-Mary." Ben told them. "Want to play ball with us?" Lucy asked. "Sure." They all said in unison.
Later that day, they were still playing; both their parents watching them play. "It looks like their enjoying themselves." Annie told their mother. "Yes, they are. They don't really know anyone since they don't go to school yet." Mrs. Kinkirk explained. "I know what you mean, my children and drive me crazy at time, but I love them." Mrs. Kinkirk smiled. "How old are your children?" "Matt is 5, Mary is 4 and Lucy playing with your oldest son is 3." Annie explains to her.
A couple weeks later, the Camden's and Kinkirk's still remain close, ever since Lucy went up to them. Kevin is glad he met them; met Lucy and her family. Kevin's best friend is Lucy, even though she is a girl, he enjoys her company and compassion. All six kids are friends, they enjoy doing things together. "Lucy, you want to play a game?" Kevin asked and held out a board game. "Yeah!" Lucy yelled and sat down next to Kevin. Ben, Mary, Matt and Patty-Mary walked inside the room where Lucy and Kevin are playing the game. "Can we play?" Matt asked. "Maybe next time, we're in the middle of the game." "Okay, fine, and then hurry up." Matt said starting to get jealous.
After the day was over and finished playing, Kevin, Patty-Mary and Ben went home with their mom. They all thanked Annie for letting them come over and they left. All three of them had a great time playing with the Camden's.
