The sun was setting in a muggle town not but a 30 minute drive from London. A girl sat outside a nice sized house looking up at the sky as the starts started to pop up. The breeze that flowed through Hermione's hair was warm and comforting. The only noise she could here where those of the owls hooting and the music from the party behind her.
She had left the party to be alone for a minute or two. She had begged for her boyfriend to come, but her parents didn't like the idea. So she sat there and though about Ron and wished he could be there with all the fun.
Hermione heard the door open behind her. She turned to face a younger looking man; he looked to be about 20. Hermione who had just left her sixth year seemed to think nothing of the man to who had just joined her. That is tell he sat down beside her.
"Hey I don't think we have met yet, I'm Kevin." He said holding out his hand as if to greet someone with a simple hand shake.
"I'm Hermione." She said unenthusiastically but stuck her hand out as well.
When their hands touched instead of shaking it, he through it to his face and gave it a small kiss on the back of her hand. "What is a nice young lady as yourself doing out here when there is a party going on in there?" he then spoke.
"I don't think that's something I should tell a stranger do you?" Hermione said flirtatiously.
"Well I'm only a stranger if you make me one, but I have an idea I would love to get to know you better and seeing as how I don't have a date, would you like to be mine? Just as friends of course." Kevin said his words with a smooth flow to them that made it hard to say no.
"Well it would be nice to get to know someone new for a change, but we are here as friends only." She added in fast
They entered the party again together, a smile on both their faces. Her for meeting someone new, him, nobody really understands why.
