(A/N: Hey everybody! This is my first FMA fic. Please review telling me if I should continue )

Pain ripped through my chest as I kept running and running. My legs screamed in agony, but I pressed on. Lust was trailing after extremely fast. I glanced over my shoulder and saw her fingers growing longer and longer. I turned back around and checked my palms. There were my transmutation circles, on my gloves. I spun around and began hopping backwards. It slowed me down, but this would slow her down, hopefully. I focused, clapped and shoved my arms in front of my body. A huge wall of rock shot up from the ground in front of her, and my body twisted forward. As I pushed my legs even harder, two people came into view. One was a shorter kid with blond hair and the other was in a huge suit of armor. I screamed at them.

"HEY! HEY!" my voice cracked in the middle of both words. They turned and sank into half-crouched positions, seeing who was following me. The blond kid leaned towards the armored man and seemed to say something. The armor nodded and got back into his position. As I neared them, and inched away from Lust, I said to them "Help me, please!"

The big armored man grabbed both of my arms and held me in front of his body. My eyes were wide and fear began taking control of my mind. What if I made a mistake? What if they are allies with the Homunculi?

The blond boy ran out and stopped Lust. His face was angry as he began hollering at her.

"HEY! Back off! The military has been looking for her too, so she's ours!" he growled. Lust glared at him for a moment, then disappeared. For a few more moments, he stood there, his fists tight and a scowl locked on his face. The grip of the armored man was still firm on my biceps. Suddenly, he let go. The blond kid turned back to me and smirked.

"It worked, Al. Nice job. And you did great, looking scared," he said. Relief washed over me, and I let out a big sigh.

"I thought you were really going to take me in," I admitted, rubbing the back of my neck. They laughed.

"No, that's not what we do," the blond said. I laughed too.

"Well, luck was certainly on my side today."

"That's what it looks like," said the armored man with another laugh. I looked at him in surprise; his voice was unnaturally high-pitched for his size. I decided to shake it off for the time being. I smiled.

"My name is Andra. What are yours?" I asked.

"Well, I'm Ed, and this is Al," the blond boy said, gesturing to the armored man. I thought for a minute before a light bulb clicked on in my head.

"Oh! You're Edward Elric, aren't you? The Full Metal Alchemist!" I gasped again and turned to the one called Al, pointing at him. "And you're Alphonse Elric! I've heard about you! You're my hero!" I closed the distance between us and gave him a big hug. I was amazed how it was really him. He made a quiet "Ah!" sound and awkwardly patted my back. I let go quickly, flushed and looked at the ground. "Sorry about that. I got a little excited there." Al laughed again.

"That's alright. I must say that it feels good to be someone's 'hero'," he replied. "Could I ask why though?"

"Sure---" I began, but Ed cut me off.

"Why don't we move this que-and-ae on the road?" he proposed. I smiled.

"Alright, brother," Al said. My smile grew wider. Maybe it was time I wasn't so nomadic on my own.

(A/N: Hope you liked it! And this is me reminded you to review and let me know!)
