I Don't own Shake It Up... just the idea

Rocky was mad. It wasn't fair! Cee-cee had tried so hard and she was being pulled off Shake It Up because she got a B- on her math test instead of a B or higher.

"Come on in Rocky," Cee-cee's mother said.

"Thanks"

Rocky's twin brother Ty was born 7 minutes after her and he was dyslexic too so Rocky knew how hard dyslexia was. Ty had big goals for himself. For example he was saving up for a car even though he wouldn't be driving for another 3 years. He did it because he knew he was going to be able to drive.

"You seem angry," Cee-cee's mom said to Rocky, "You want to tell me why?"

"YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I'M ANGRY? I'M ANGRY BECAUSE YOU ARE BEING TOTALLY UNFAIR! MAYBE YOU DON'T SEE IT BUT YOU ARE. CEE-CEE HAS DISLEXIA AND SHE TRIES DAMN HARD!

"She doesn't do well because she can't do well not because she doesn't try and removing her from SHAKE IT UP is just going to make her think, 'what's the point'"

"I see where you're coming from but what choice do I have. She has to work harder then everyone else. She needs to put the effort in and she didn't do that. If she had she would have gotten a better grade"

"Follow me," Rocky said

"Where are we going?"

"Outside to the basketball court. I want to see you make a basket."

"I can't do that.

"I have terrible sports coordination"

"So try harder"

"It doesn't matter how hard I try. I would still be h- oh I get your point. I should be a mother first and a tough gal second," Cee-cee's mother said

"That's exactly my point," Rocky said smiling, "Strategize, connect the dots to something she knows, don't just ask her if she understand. Have her explain it back to you in her own words. Get her a tutor if necessary but don't punish her for something she doesn't understand. Sometimes you have to pay attention to your own words."

"You're right," Cee-cee's mom said

Cee-cee came out of her bedroom after resembling something that may look human.

"Shower, teeth, dressed now," her mother said, "Shake it up starts in ten minutes"

"But-"

"We'll talk about how to get your grades up after the show," Cee-cee's mom said.
