So...well...if anyone's familiar with my work, you know of my passionate shipping of Teddy/LilyLuna. Alas, for the Romantic Drabble Challenge, I also got Roxanne/Teddy. So here it is! Enjoy! My prompts were 'spring' and 'watch'.
You hate daydreams. You always have. They just make you long for everything you can never have. And your dreams where Teddy is…they're so much better than reality that your longing for them is so powerful that it scares you.
But you'll always just be a sweet afterthought to him. You watch him date Victoire and your heart breaks because he's just too old for you. And you can never be.
It doesn't escape your eyes that Lily loves him too – you're the only one that hears her cry herself to sleep.
But it's crucial that she never hears you.
No one can ever hear you. No one can know. You're too young.
Or that's what you thought, until the spring when Teddy falls for Lily – who's younger than you. And suddenly your excuse is gone, and you realize that there wasn't anything standing in the way. He just didn't love you. He just didn't. And you just have to stand there and watch them be happy together.
You're way too young to be broken like this.
And now you hate daydreams even more because they just remind you of the one thing that you can never have.
I actually kind of liked that one...you knew I was gonna put Teddy/Lily in there...yeah...can't resist! XD Well, I only have Sirius/Marlene and Cho/Seamus left for this challenge! :D :D See you there!
