AN: Just a oneshot based off The Idiot's Lantern, because I shamelessly ship Rose/10, and because Angry!Doctor is one of my favourite kinds.

Rose. He could barely think through the cloud of anger hovering over his brain, couldn't comprehend how this had been allowed to happen, because she was Rose. She was good, and kind and compassionate, and so, so beautiful. How could something so positively angelic be harmed in such a way? It was impossible. And yet, here was the evidence, standing in front of him, same blonde hair, same pink heels, same dress. She had looked stunning, just gorgeous in those clothes. But then, she looked gorgeous in anything she wore.

But he hadn't told her.

He could hardly hear Detective Inspector Bishop in the background, rattling off information as if it were relevant. Of course, it wasn't. Nothing was, except the blank stretch of skin that had been her face. Then, one phrase sunk through the fog of rage in his mind, and his voice was low and dangerous as he asked the DI to repeat himself.

In the street. The street.

And he could feel the fury boiling inside his chest, anger like he'd scarcely known ready to erupt out of him.

Rose. His Rose; they had stolen her face and tossed her into the gutter like a worthless piece of rubbish, taken her soul, her very essence and then thrown out the remains.

And they would pay.

Nothing could stop him now from finding them, hunting them down and ripping them apart and forcing them to bring her back because he needed her. He needed her back with him, safe and happy. Smiling. He loved it when she smiled. It was a secret belief of his that nothing was as beautiful as her smile.

The diamond seas of Cilidonia couldn't compare with Rose Tyler's smile.

With the thought, and the mental image of her in his mind, a cold, burning sense of justice rose inside him. He knew what he needed to do. Because they had taken her smile from him, and he would go through Hell to get it back.
