Memories Never Die

Peter stared at the ceiling of his bedroom as he did every night. It had only been three months since they returned from Narnia and Peter was beginning to miss the life he had there. He had started having trouble sleeping after returning from Narnia. Every night he was plagued with dreams about the adventures he had there and awoke to the realization that his life in Narnia was gone. He sighed, looking to the other bed in the room. Edmund was already asleep and Peter wondered if Edmund had the same dreams he did. He knew it was hard to adjust for all of them, but in his mind he was having the most difficulty.

The room was silent and everyone was already in bed. Peter stared back up at the ceilings letting the memories of Narnia fill his head. He missed the talking animals and the dancing trees. Nobody in Narnia treated him like a kid and, of course, in Narnia he wasn't a kid anymore. He loved seeing the centaurs and fauns everyday when he woke in Car Paraveil and the wonderful hunts him and his siblings would go on.

His life in England was so much different. There was no excitement to get him through the day and it just seemed like the days went on forever. Narnia was just a memory now, buried deep within his mind and he vowed to never let the memory fade. It may not be his life anymore, but he didn't want to forget Narnia and all the creatures he met there. He wanted to make sure that those memories never died.
