His mother told him of them. She knew that he be taken away. He knew it too. One by one his sibling went. Then he was suddenly up in the air and set down later in a new place with new smells. He was happy for a year then a new them came into the house. He barely sniffed it before he was in the air and put in a dark place.

He fell. He was starting to get wet. Water flew from everywhere.

Help me!

He bit the roof. He was out.

Air. Sweet air. Swim towards the line.

He collapsed. Then he woke from a noise.

Run away from Them.

Them had a stick. He heard it scream. He dodged it. He ran on until he could not any more.

Cold. Cold ground. Not like the warm ground that made nose tickle.

More noises woke him up.

Who is that? Not a Them.

He crawled out on his underbelly. He tried to hide.

"Hello."

He spun around. It was not a Them at all. It was some kind of duck with a hat.

"Hi" He replied.

"Are you lost?"

"No" He said it like an echo.

I am abandoned and forgotten.

"Where are your humans?"

"I call humans Them"

"Why?"

"That's what they are. A Them. Them have no souls. Them tore my family apart. Them put me in a dark place with water a few hours ago. Now thanks to Them I have take care of myself."

"Not all humans are like that." The duck said after a silence.

"They act like they love you then they try to kill you." He said.

"But I have a human family. Plus… I work with them too."

"Are they mean?"

"No."

He blinked opened his eyes.

"Good Morning ,Pinky." Isabella petted his head. She headed out the door, already in her Fireside uniform.

It is a great morning.

He got out of the bed, ate breakfast, and went outside. He chased a butterfly before putting on his hat and used the elevator in his yard. The elevator stopped and Perry slid in. He nodded at him before he had to go. He jumped into the plush room and heard his mission. He flew out, defeated her, and made it in time to the cookout in his yard. He was lifted up in the air in loving arms and he gave a lick to Isabella's face before she put him down.

Perry came up to him.

"So are all humans bad, Pinky."

Pinky looked at him before replying the words he swore two years before.

"No, not all humans are bad."
