A/N: HAPPY NEW YEAR! To start off the New Year, here's a short story! More Izaya and Sora fluff! This one is super short… Sorry guys…

Thirty seconds.

She had only thirty seconds to make it to him before the lights in Ikebukuro would flash, and the big screen would show "Happy New Year!" So she ran hard, afraid that she would miss out on celebrating with him.

She ran down the street, checking her phone every so often. He had programmed a timer into her phone that showed her how much time she had left. She turned a corner.

Twenty seconds.

The people in front of the screen chorused together the remaining seconds of the countdown. Meanwhile, the dark haired girl cursed to herself. Him and his games. Why did he have to come up with a game now? But she didn't mind his games. It added a thrill to her life. That's why she was so determined to meet him in their favorite spot.

Ten seconds.

"Do you think she'll make it?" Erika asked, the usual happiness in her voice replaced with one of worry.

"I'm sure she will. She has to!" Walker added.

Shizuo, who was standing close enough to hear them, sighed. "She'll make it. No doubt. She's Sora."

Huff. Puff. Huff. Puff.

She turned into the alley, running up the stairs of the building to get to the rooftop. He had to be there. He just had to. After all, this is the place where they first met.

Five seconds.

She still ran. Only a few more steps until she was there.

Four seconds.

The door to the rooftop burst open.

Three seconds.

She ran to the raven haired male standing a few feet away from the edge of the building.

Two seconds.

"Izaya!" she called out his name as she neared him.

One.

"Happy New Year!" the crowd in front of the big screen chimed. People blew their horns, music played, confetti was flowing everywhere, and couple kissed. Ikebukuro seemed to be pretty happy.

"She made it?! Did she?!" Erika asked hurriedly.

"All these couples make me actually wanna see those two making out!" Kagari frowned.

"She made it," Shizuo stated. "I just know she did.

She made it. It was obvious she would. Right when the clock struck twelve, she reached him. Right when the clock struck twelve, he pulled her to him. And right when the clock struck twelve, their lips touched. It was a soft kiss. Not rough and fast like their tongue battles. But they stayed like that for a bit; in each other's arms engaged in that one kiss. Their lips didn't move. They just stayed pressed against each other, not daring to break apart. But when they did, all they could do was stare into each other's eyes.

"Happy New Year, Sora," Izaya told her as he cupped her face into his hands, kissing her forehead lovingly. "I love you… And I can't wait to spend another year with you."

"Yeah… I love you, Izaya… We'll be together forever."

A/N: Well that was the shortest little piece of bleh I've ever written. Haha. This was only like… 500 something words! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed it and Happy New Year! Remember, read, review, and love! ^.^
