Marry's Lullaby
This was it. Sam and Dean had done what they were born to do. What they had died to do.
They had saved the world. They had done it in the past but not like this. Never like this. Heaven, closed. Hell, closed. All Supernatural was gone from the earth. All Angels. All Demons. All Ghosts. All Sifters, everything. Along with it all of their loved one. They rolled the Impala into that park Bobby took them to when they were kids. A good memory for both of them.
"You ready?" Sam asked there was a pause "Sammy, I have never been more ready for anything in my life.." Dean replied. They got out of the car. It was raining hard. They opened the trunk and pulled out two gun and loaded them - Not with rock salt or with Samuel Colt's bullets but with regular, ordinary, bullets. "I feel like- we should play some… you know music. Or something…" Sam murmured. "I know what you mean..." dean sighed. Then Dean head perked up. You know Mom used to sing us that one Kansas song before bed. Carry on wayward son. " "Is that why that was always your favorite?" "Yeah… anyway, when we were zapped back by Zach a while ago… I recorded it.. would you… can I-" "Please!" Sam interrupted. Dean walked over to the Impala and attached his phone to the speakers. The music starts. The sweet tone of Mary's voice comes on with what sounds like a music box in the background.
~Carry on my wayward sons.~
Sam and Dean go out into the field.
They pull the guns on each other shaking before switching and pointing them at their own heads. Knowing they could never kill each other. Even if they tried.
~There'll be peace when you are done.~
They had both died many times. This time was different. They knew that they weren't coming back this time. They didn't want to live on this earth. Not without Cas. Not without Bobby or Jess or Lisa or Ben. They had to be with them. Forever.
~Lay your weary head to rest.~
They both at the same time shouted 'I love you Sammy!" and "I love you Dean"
Something they didn't say often, because it didn't need to be said. They both always knew. Through thick and thin. They knew.
3… 2… 1… Bang!
That was the last the earth saw of the legendary Winchesters. There bodies limp. No salting. No Burning. No need.
~Don't you cry no more.~
