BPOV
The day started out normal. Edward picked me up in his silver Volvo. We went to school. The classes passed in a blur. At lunch something different happened.
I went to sit at my usual table with the Cullen's and Angela. Alice seemed excited yet thoughtful. I couldn't decide which, you never can with that pixie vampire. Edward was looking around expectantly.
"What's with the face? What is everyone thinking about?" I questioned.
"Two new students have come and apparently they are very beautiful." He answered.
As if on cue, two girls walked into the cafeteria. Everyone gasped. They were beautiful, but not inhumanly beautiful. The taller girl had black hair which fell to the middle of her back. Her skin was perfect it was pale but not marble like a vampire. She had blood red lips and orangey brown eyes. She was wearing a blue headband. The other girl was slightly shorter. Her dirty blonde hair was in a long braid that reached the small of her back. She had fare skin, her face was peppered in freckles. Her eyes were a startling blue. She had a strip of black hair that framed her face
The blonde winced slightly as she walked into the room. She looked around. Her gaze turned to the Cullen's. The black haired one looked at her friend and followed her gaze. When she saw the Cullen's her look went from confusion to recognition.
She started walking towards us. Despite the obvious looks of protest on her friends face.
"Hi, My name is Mirandy Li!" she said excitedly as she reached our table, "That is my friend Reori!" she finished by pointing at the blonde who was approaching the table a wary look on her face.
Alice looked at the two of them. "Hello Mirandy and Reori! I'm Alice Cullen; these are my brothers Edward and Emmett. And they are Jasper and Rosalie Hale. That is Bella Swan and Angela Webber." she finished
Edward was looking at Mirandy with a look of confusion on his face. She looked back at him mirroring his expression, and then suddenly she let out a knowing sigh. She leaned towards Edward and whispered. "I know how to shield people out of my mind, Edward."
Everyone except for Angela, who hadn't heard, and Reori jumped in surprise, my self included.
"Are you a vampire?" questioned Edward so low that I could barely hear it.
"Yep!" she answered. We all looked at Reori. She was sitting there reading a book, seemingly too absorbed in it to pay any attention to what we were saying.
"Do you want to come to our home later to meet our father later?" Alice asked her gold eyes alight with excitement.
Mirandy glanced at Reori who seemed to incline her head the smallest amount that a movement would require. Mirandy looked up.
"We would love to!" with that the two of them got up and walked out of the cafeteria. I sat there amazed that they looked so human yet they were human.
"Mirandy seems nice but what about that Reori girl. She seems to be hiding something but I do not know what. I couldn't hear a single thought from her head." Edward whispered to me.
"Yes, there is something strange about her. I can't see her in any of my visions but I see Mirandy." Alice explained. We digested this little tidbit of information in silence.
