Say Yes to The Dress
Gracie, her brother, sister, and father walked into the bridal store. It was beyond breath-taking just as Gracie had pictured it. Beautiful long white dresses everywhere, glitter, sparkles, and her brand new diamond ring shining in the light. She still couldn't believe it was real. The surprise engagement, the surprise engagement party… everything was a blur. She was so deep in thought that when the consultant asked who the bride was she didn't even raise her hand. Her sister raised her hand for her.
"Well and who is the lucky man to be?!" the consultant asked looking at Gracie and her brother. "Oh no my fiancée is at home I have my brother, my dad and my sister with me" Grace replied laughing at the sight of her brother's horrified face. "Well come on back and let's get started" the consultant replied with a laugh and a smile.
Gracie went back into a white and crystal filled dressing room while her family waited in pastel colored chairs in the 'showing room'. Gracie and the consultant discussed what she wanted in a gown. She wanted lots of 'bling' and sparkles and something sweetheart neckline which would be classy enough for her old-fashioned father. Gracie's father had been talking about the appointment all week that his little girl was getting married. He was beyond excited, almost as much as Gracie was. Gracie also told the consultant a little about her fiancée Michael. How when they met them barely spoke to each other but there was something electric about it and a few months later a long distance relationship developed. After a few short months Michael gave up everything he had from home and moved across states to be with Gracie, the love of his life. It had been like a real life movie and everyday Gracie had to pinch herself to remind her that it was really real.
Then suddenly she turned around in a Vera Wang satin gown with immense beading and she started to cry… It was real.
