The sun was slowly waking up. It was creeping over the mountains,
then
through the plains. The desert was already heating up, the islands were getting
the first waves of the fresh new morning. The light seeped into the darkest room
in Neopia. Dr. Frank Sloth stood tall by the window. His figure shadowed out the
sunlight, as he gazed at something within the room. One of his grundo servants
had a box which had tiny air-holes cut into the top. His stocky green fingers
opened it up and Sloth clamped his hands together.
"Excellent." With a wicked smile he unclamped his hands and put them
into the box. Taking them out he looked into the eyes of a petpet. A Faellie, to
be exact. It had big black eyes, mesmerizing. Its fur was yellow, with a tuft of
white on its chest. It let out a soft 'meep' sound which could melt any neopians
heart. Except of course, Sloth's. His eyes were cold and restless, but the smile
stayed plastered on his face. The young grundo servant looked up at him.
"Dr., erm, Sloth, is it worthy of your master plan?" The small animal asked
timidly. Without a word Sloth told him the answer. With barely a nod the Grundo
jumped with some kind of evil glee.
"Now, servant, go find some more of these creatures. They will be
needed. You will be rewarded greatly for this, I promise." And with those words
the Grundo took the Faellie and ran out of the room. He would do anything to
please this master of evil. Sloth just looked at the shining light and smile
malevolently, muttering.
"Yes, soon this will be over. Those stupid Neopians will learn who is boss.
Me. And I will get my queen, Illusen. I will live evilly ever after and watch those
stupid Neopets suffer." With a cold, shrill laugh he closed his curtain, put on his
cape, and left.
---In Neopia---
"AERO! GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE AND FEED YOUR SISTERS!" Lexi
yelled angrily up the stairs of her Neohome. Ever since she had decided to get
that invisible pet she regretted it. She wanted another pet to help out, but
instead it just hid and it was impossible to find it. Aero, a handsome silvery
shoyru stepped down from the stairs like he was on 'Mr. NeoWorld'. With a sigh
Lexi gave him the keys to her car. "You are driving them to NeoSchool. It is
finally opened, now go! They are waiting. Oh I hope Muirk is in there, and Berri
needs her show-and-tell. Ah, and don't forget Dellic's glasses." As she piled this
all into his paws he groaned.
"Thanks, Lexi, oh greatest owner of all time. I'll see ya tonight. I love you
too. Bye" He ran out the door and started the small automobile as Lexi watched
the four pets drive off.
"I hope he remembered his special Valentines Day Babaa notebook." She
said worridly, referring to Aero's notebook. Her eyes welled with tears. "My little
pets are off on their own. Those virtual pets grow up so fast" But before she
had anytime to sob about it, a green hand covered her mouth.
"Scream and I'll give all your pets to n00bs." The thing whispered
threateningly. She nodded, a n00b was one of the worst punishments, and went
along with this minion of sloth. And she was gone.
