Are You Okay Yami?
"Tea, it was just a joke! Honest!" Yami pleaded on the phone. Yugi stood outside Yami's room, listening.
"Babe, I didn't mean it like that."
Yugi Shook his head and went to his room. Yami and Tea had been going out for awhile and were know having one of their many fights.
Yugi and Yami walked to school the next morning. Yami is silent, trying to figure out what to say to Tea to make things better. He sees Tea standing at the school gate, listening to music and waiting for him.
The bell rings, signaling the end of the day. Yugi and Yami walk home, joking with each other, both at ease. Yugi is glad he is with Yami. Yami is glad that he was able to make up with Tea.
It's a rainy day. Yami and Tea had a fight that morning, and now Yami is sitting and staring out a window at the Game Shop. Yugi looks up from his book and sadly watches the rain and Yami's tears fall. Yami then gets up and goes to his room.
"Hey Yami, are you okay?" Yugi later asks through Yami's bedroom door. "You've been in there a while."
"What? N-no I-Of c-course I'm f-fine. I-I just w-want to be a-alone for a-awhile." Yugi hears quiet sobs coming from Yami. His heart fills with sorrow.
Yami is pleading on the phone with Tea again. Yugi can't understand why Yami is still trying to stay with her. He's watched Tea brake Yami's heart again and again. But Yugi will stand by his best friend's decisions.
Yami knocked softly on Yugi's bedroom door, trying not to break down crying again. He heard Yugi murmur, "Come in." Yami opened the door and quietly entered Yugi's room. Yugi looks up and sees Yami with his tear-stained cheeks.
"Are you okay Yami?" Questions Yugi, wanting to know what's going on. Yami walks over to him and sits down on the end of Yugi's bed. "No," says Yami. "I-Tea is being mean about me trying to do things that I want sometimes and she- she says that w-we-" Yami breaks down in tears. "She broke up w-with m-me a-and-" Yami is now sobbing his broken heart out.
Yugi sat next to Yami quietly with his arms around Yami.
It's been a month since Yami and Tea broke up. Yami is more cheerful now, realizing that she was never the right person for him. Yugi is glad to see Yami smiling more often.
