Gone
The Scythe was raised to Edward's neck yet he did not move. Mustang tried to call for Edward to tell him to move but his voice froze in his throat. Edward had already lost so much blood already… Still Roy didn't want Edward to die no matter what. It still rung in his ears he would have laughed at they're conversation if it wasn't for the situation at hand.
"your not to die before me got it FullMetal?"
"right, and your not to die before me alright? I need someone I can call useless.."
"A little dilemma isn't it?"
"you know I wont be able to keep it."
"The promise? Of course you will"
"You never know Taisa.."
That was truly the last conversation Roy had with Ed. Now right in front of him Ed was going to die, by whoever's hands. The next thing he saw was nothing but red. Edward was gone. As Mustang opened his eyes Edward was no where to be seen, tears started falling. He looked at the person who held the scythe, to his surprise it was Edward, or at least Edward's body. Pride was here and Ed was gone, The markings over his body seemed to burn brightly his eyes of gold dull and lifeless and his hair free from the braid, even if he was no longer Edward scarlet tears fell from his eyes. Edward's soul was trapped inside the body he could no longer control.
Mustang shot up in bed his breath was labored. A dream. . . but was it true? Was Edward gone lost to the darkness? Or was he trapped within himself hoping for someone to find him? Hopefully he could save Ed from the Darkness and help him come back to the light warmth he knew all to well.
