Fantasy becomes reality Part Two

Jake's POV

I am lying in bed as an owl flies into my room though the open window.

Sitting up, I see the animal melt into my best friend.

"What are you doing here, Marco?" I ask trying not to look him over. (Don't successed at all)

"To tell you something," Marco says looking down at the floor.

"What is it?" I ask. "Is someone in trouble?"

"No. That's not it," Marco says. "I…I can't do this."

Marco begins to head towards the window.

"Wait. What is this all about?" I ask getting up not realizing that I am only in my boxers.

"It's nothing," Marco says looking away from me. "Forget about it."

"If something is troubling you, you know that you can always talk to me," I say stepping closer to my friend.

"In this thing, I can't," Marco says.

"Marco, just tell me what it is and I'll try and help," I say placing a hand on his shoulder.

He jerks away from me.

"Marco. Don't pull away from me," I say. "There is a reason you come here so tell me what it is."

"I can't," Marco whispers.

"Marco…" I say and turn him around so he is facing me.

I gasp as I see that he is crying.

What could be so terrible that it would move this strong a person to tears?

"Tell me," I whisper.

Marco shakes his head back and forth.

"Then show me," I say. "Do something so I know what is wrong."

Marco bites his lip then looks me straight in the eye like he has never done before.

He gives me a look that says, I want to kiss you.

And then he does.

I wake up to the sun shining on my face.

What a strange dream I had.

Opening my eyes, I see as always my ceiling.

I try and get up but something is holding me down.

Next to me, curled up into a little ball is my best friend.

Last night wasn't a dream.

It was a dream come true.
