All I'm saying is: sometimes I just get in this mood where I must write a certain angsty kinda story. Idk…but anyways, Read and Review. Sorry if this makes you depressed but it'll probably make me depressed when I re-read it. Okay…now for the story.

The boy sits down by the water, stroking it's smooth surface. It feels cool under his fingertips yet burns a small cut. The ocean was more like a lake now. The boy could fall asleep listening to the gentle whoosh, whoosh. He dug his feet into the soft wet sand.

What had he done?

Not much. He tried to be a good guy. He tried to keep patient. But sometimes…he lost it.

The cemetery. His personal failures. He knew he was breaking. Shattering like glass. The shards sticking into his skin almost. Never could he forget. For if he forgot…what would become of his failures? What would become of him?

The boy's name is Sam Temple.

His girlfriend, Astrid Ellis, left. She was gone. He chuckled darkly at that. She was gone, just like the adults. He should be up at the lake. But how? How could he go back there when he kept thinking he saw her? Behind the tree. Underneath the dock. In a boathouse.

But she was not there.

He knew this.

His heart was silently falling apart.

The sun began to set, the air became a bit chilly. He made what Howard had so cleverly named a Sammy Sun. But he quickly extinguished it. He did not want to remember. He did not want to forget. The power…it was all of it's fault.

A sound. Someone was coming, dragging something along the sand. Sam gave up. He was not going to deal with whatever was coming.

He gave up.

On everything.

That is until he saw who was coming.

Drake Merwin.

Drake smiled a shark grin. "Hey Sammy."

Sam looked over at Drake. "Hello, Drake," Sam replied stiffly."Why so glum?" Drake asked in a mocking tone. Sam shrugged. "Oh well, I have a little surprise for you. I was going to drag it all the way to the lake, but now I don't have to!" he says. That's when he saw her. Not "it," but her.

Astrid.

So he actually did it. Sam knew what Drake was going to make him do: watch Drake whip Astrid.

Her face was soaked in tears, her blonde hair stuck to her face. Her eyes screamed fear. She remained silent. Sam's face hardened. "Don't do this," Sam whispered, "Not to her."

Drake laughed and smiled his signature shark grin. "Oh, but Sammy, this is what I do. Remember the fun time we had up at the power plant?" Sam shuddered involuntarily.

"A bargain," Sam murmured.

Drake cocked an eyebrow. "A bargain? Hmm…let me guess…little Astrid the Genius," he said "genius" mockingly, "gets to run free and I get to have you. Again!" Sam made a wry face.

"Pretty much."

Drake laughed a bit. "Oh but you see, there's a bit of a problem with that." Drake paused a bit, dramatizing. It seemed like something only Caine would do but that didn't matter. "Astrid's on my side now!"

Right then and there Drake said the one thing that could make Sam utterly lose it. He cursed silently. "Why?"

"Because he needs me," Astrid says. Sam shook his head.

"No," Sam said. "No he-"

Drake cut him off. "Let's just get to it." Drake threw his whip arm back and instead of hitting Astrid, he hit Sam's back. Sam yelled out, but did not struggle. Astrid watched silently.

Sam's back is in shatters as well as his heart.

All because Astrid the Genius knows everything.

Shatters

Like

Glass.

Yeah, so that was awfully dramatic. Oh Drake. Anyway click Review this Chapter. I might make another chapter or do something with it…idk. Just tell me what you think.
