A/N: I own nothing, except for my love of musicals

Tribute to Debbie Reynolds and the 65 anniversary of singin' in the rain.

Did you ever wonder why Mycroft always carries an umbrella everywhere he goes, I'll tell ya.

Mycroft was a young lad, a young lad with a passion for musicals. One in particular was his all time favorite, Singin' In The Rain. He knew every word ,he could recite the whole script, and of course he knew all the songs. His favorite part ,of course, was Gene Kelly's scene Singin' in the rain. And when he was older he got himself the same umbrella that Gene used in the scene, he is practically the British government ya know. But when he was younger he just had a replica, he loved carrying it everywhere. He would listen to all the songs everyday. No matter how many times he watched it he always got goosebumps and Make 'Em' laugh always make him , well laugh. Even now , though he will deny it, he still has a love for the movie. He can even dance he learned almost every dance move in the movie, he can tap dance like it was no one's business. He loved everything about Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds, he loved their voices most of all.

When Debbie Reynolds died he was devastated, he rewatched everything she was ever in. he looked up to her and it took a blow on him. When Gene kelly died he was sad but nothing like this. He will always have a place in his heart for her and the movie.
